A Welcomed Interruption
Nothing interesting ever happens here. It’s the same old same old, day in and day out. She goes through her days knowing what’s going to happen next before it even has occurred. She’s been stuck in this monotonous worn-out routine for what feels like forever now. Trapped in this little-bitty, nothing-ever-happens-here town for pretty much her whole life. She wakes up and she can play out the entirety of her day without even getting out of bed; some days she wonders why it is that she even bothers to get up when this is the case. If she’s honest, she can play out the day to the T before she even goes to bed the night before, and when she’s at this point in her day, it always feels as though she were just here, not that it had been twenty-four hours prior. “Although, what is time anymore anyway?” she muses.

A Long-Awaited Reunion
It’s been years since she even considered contemplating taking a step back into this place. She used to spend countless hours, savoring each moment and each morsel that she was blessed to enjoy inside these walls. It holds so much meaning to her. The place she studied for hours on end, day after day when she was completing her master’s thesis. The place she went with friends to enjoy a casual meal and catch up. The location she always took her family to when they came into town because it was her favorite, and it quickly became theirs too. Once upon a time, this place was her everything.

The Old Barn
It’s been standing there, at the end of the road, for so many years it’s lost count. It’s watched generations grow up, get old, and raise new generations. It used to serve a purpose: to a family who built it from the ground up, it meant survival. It meant warmth and safety for the animals that they decided would live there. It was a well-loved and glorious thing back in those days.

A Night Under the Stars
It's been far too long since she's had a night where she can relax, shed her worries, and just enjoy herself. She has been looking forward to the date she made for tonight all week. This is the first time she's done something like this. All her friends have been telling her that she's been working herself too hard, that she needs to take a night to do something for herself. Her friends say a lot of things, but this time, she decided that they were right, and she knew just how to accomplish that goal. So she finally cleared a night in her schedule to go on that date she's been promising herself she would say yes to. She's planned everything out perfectly. It will all happen here, at her place; she will enjoy a beautiful meal under the stars and just be herself for a night.
