Heirloom
There was only one rule: don’t open the door. Well…that’s stupid, Alexander scoffed. Now, I gotta open it! He stood before the large door wrapped tightly in chains and partly covered in cinder blocks. No noises could be heard on the other side when he put his ear up to it --- only a dusty silence. Some of the cinder blocks had been pushed out from the door previously, perhaps by the fabled monster inside, but Alexander figured that was a prank pulled by other kids years ago.

The Secret Keys
The deadly inferno tore through the house as though it were only made of matches and gasoline; its bright orange glow lit up the street in the dead of night and brought all the neighbors out of their own houses in pure shock. Anything Can Happen
Daphne Jane Donnelly slapped the snooze button for the umpteenth time just as soon as the alarm went off, all for another 60 seconds of sweet, sleepy bliss. A risky move, to be sure, but one she was more than willing to make, for she was at her wits end with her daily life. Her soul-sucking and mind-killing corporate job can go straight to hell for all she cared. Bills and debts be damned.

Never Piss Off An Author (You Will End Up in Our Next Work!)
A cliché statement, yes, but true, nonetheless. It comes with the territory of watching this world turn (and burn) before my very eyes as well as your own, I’m sure of it. In my own case, I have felt story upon story begging me to be written as more events unfold, not merely in current events globally, but in the behind the scenes of said events. Never mind how such events may impact my own life—bigger things are at play and must be called out!
