Dating a Father with Kids!
I received a call from a friend and she asked, "Jermaine, how is it dating with children, and when is the time "right" for her to meet your children?" We shared some thoughts as she wanted to research about a current situation a friend of hers is currently experiencing and I thought sharing some general information could help. Before I get started, do women listen to men? disregard that question! I think I know the answer and the conditions that are attached with the task of listening to a man. One could only imagine the results....

Let's see where This Goes!
Dating sucks! Well, not really! I think daters today have to understand the language of their potential mates and not try to build their own personal reality behind a statement. The common killer statement out there that women just hate to hear, "Let's see where this goes!". Most men say this because they really don't know how courting women will end up. Now take this advice from a man and I hope that you can build off this ladies. Now this advice only applies to men that are truly seeking to settle down and not the common "player" type guy who is trying to have sex with every woman he sees. Dating is a serious event for men because of the time and money, the typical man isn't into wasting resources.

An Ole-fashioned Love Story.
Her hand felt warm in mine as we strolled the crisp Chicago night and Lake Michigan gave us every bit of mid October. We left a good dinner and spirits just off the Magnificent Mile. Her eyes locked on mine and told me to give her just a little tenderness. I was quite scared, say the least. This dating pool did not make it easy to just let go. I gave her a concerned look and said, " you not one to catch flights and leave my feelings melting in my hands?" She smiled, but didn't answer the question. She said, "Jermaine, tell me an ole-fashioned love story, please!"

My Thoughts on "Open Secrets"
I had to begin reading this book written by a great friend of mine. I will not give away any details, so all I can say is home is where the heart is. I was confirmed of three great things when reading this masterpiece, and I am sure you will pick us some great lessons when you read this book as well. Family is everything and your family name is very important, but what's more important is the opportunity you give individuals their own chance to make a name for him or herself no matter the reputation.

May I have your Smile?
I opened the door and there you were, a cold Chicago day, your smile seems to put all the worries and troubles away! I saw from afar, and the distance could have been great to an ordinary man. However, the mission was to have your smile concentrate on me and you eyes fixed because of the mental satisfaction I present to you.

I'm "Sam"
Lady in the supermarket you have the slightest clue! Men will try to tie you down in the soup aisle, you gave him your number but that wasn't on your list to do! Hair tied up and going by your nickname instead of telling him your Samantha! Now we all know that name sounds sexier than that lady on Black Panther, but he caught you slipping as you gave a radiant and lovely natural becoming pose; had you off guard so "Sam" you choose.

10 Burning Candles
Like all brothers and sisters, they have a unique twist to how they think. We laugh, we cry, we are close and yet we are distant for so many reasons. Very similar to other families, we didn't agree on everything, but we have a unique task ahead of us all. Growth so that our candles continue to burn and allow the legacy to burn on within our children. We all had our own connection with our mother during her time here on Earth. I can tell that they were not the best connections one would think about having with a mother, but no one is perfect.

50/50 Child Custody is the Way
Men please hear me out on this one. It is far better to have a normal frequency in your child's life that is more than every other weekend. I speak from experience on this one and believe me, this reduces so much stress on all parties involved. I don't know your situation and I could care less because only two things are factual under your co-parenting; your child needs you and since you took time to create a life you should take the time to develop a life.

The Dinner of Disappointment
Well it appears that battle of the sexes is here to stay. In the depleting dating world as we know seems to effect all races with the lack of communication. After all, we want the best for us, and while some may only think of wanting the best for themselves, the tainted ones are responsible for inaccurate data in the dating pool.

My Letter to Renee
Dear Renee, I know that calling at times my seem to be easier than other forms of communication. However, I find myself not wanting to say the wrong thing, or not saying the right thing at all. As you know, I miss the natural conversations that you and I had and understood the better part of you for it. At times I grew fond of the person I was hearing and wanted to instantly grow old with you.
