Our Friend Michelle
Every generation has that entertainer who reflects the lives of the audience who grows up watching them. Someone I’ve always looked up to who embodied that reflection in my generation is actress Michelle Trachtenberg. Yesterday was her birthday, so it’s only fitting that she deserves a birthday tribute.

9/11 Stairclimb 2025: United We Remember
Yesterday. Saturday, September 13th 2025 was the date of Greensboro’s annual 9/11 Stairclimb which is hosted by the city every year during the week of the 9/11 anniversary, so naturally I attended. This year was my 5th year attending the Stairclimb and I have to say this was my best year attending so far. The 20 year anniversary of 9/11 back in 2021 was the first year I ever attended the Stairclimb thanks to my friend and former high school teacher Tara Pidgeon. I’ve gone every year since and though every year has been great, none have quite matched that first time going until this year.

9/11 Remembered: Sarah Bishop
Joe: When were you born? Sarah: I was born after the September 11th, 2001 attacks, so I didn’t experience the events firsthand. My entire understanding of 9/11 has come from what I have been taught, the stories of my parents, and through documentaries and commemorations.

In this interview I speak with my former 5th grade teacher and friend Kris Pass who lost her friend Sandra Teague on American Airlines flight 77 which was hijacked and crashed into the pentagon that morning.

Jack Ferrell pulls into the parking lot of the Boiler Room Club and Restaurant owned by J.P. Monroe. Jack and his friends Sharon, Kelly and Lemmy arrive at the club anxious to see their favorite band playing on stage. “I can’t believe we’re about to see Motörhead playing live” Kelly started with excitement. “Yeah, Lemmy’s been my favorite frontman since I was a kid” Sharon added. “Why thank you, Sharon. I had no idea you had such passion for me” Lemmy added sarcastically. “Be careful guys” Jack began. “You know this idiot gets a big head when you remind him that he’s named after the frontman of our favorite band.
