Autistic Woman Vs: Leprechaun
Welcome back my lovely readers and subscribers to another, Autistic Woman Vs! The series where I talk about various monsters and creatures from an Autistic perspective or at least an INDIVIDUAL autistic perspective. The snow is melting, the sun is appearing more and I can, almost, wear a lighter coat and not need a windbreaker. For this article, since it is the month of March, what an appropriate time to talk about the Leprechaun!

Connection
I could've sworn that we were just standing close to each other a moment ago but now we are limb-tangled! Your hands on my hips like they were a prize that you won, and every other part of me was just a bonus in the game we are playing. A platter of different meats for both of us to taste. Your lips were on mine and now I can't place where they are now. I do remember the look in your eyes as we were sharing banter over tall pints, the words dripping with honey, laced with the smokiness from the dark beers. And like the sweat from our beer glasses, I feel yours on me as the room and rhythm changed.

Who Is the Real Monster? Part 2
Xavier stared at his apartment door for what felt like hours, he was kissing the most beautiful woman he had ever met and he also planned to kill her. When he looked into those beautiful eyes of hers and saw how vulnerable she was, he couldn’t do it. The way she was willing to attend to his wounds without a second thought also influenced his decision. She was so soft in his hands, and when he kissed her, he was ready to let her in. He asked her to stay with him for the night and Cassie ran out of his apartment. Did he say this from a place of lust? Yes, and now he was choking on the foot that was in his mouth.

An Autistic Apology to a Lover
I am sorry, lover that my Autistic eyes do not look into yours. Both my brain and my heart are two different types of brokenness that I do not know how to repair. My heart was broken once in Grade 2 and then again in Grade 10. One flushed my love note down the toilet, the other joined my enemies out of shame. My brain has been broken since the beginning, since I emerged into the world crying like the world would hear me. I learned that hiding my skin was the best form of protection, I would be safe from the piercing eyes of the world. I chose to not call attention to myself otherwise the laughter would invade my head and never leave.

Breaking the (Autistic) Love Code: Lee Holloway from Secretary (2002)
Disclaimer: I am not a licensed medical professional and this series is not about diagnosing the character(s) with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This series is a personal examination of the film/TV show's plot, the character's traits and personality and how they relate to me as an Autistic woman. I will also examine canonically Autistic Characters, so take my personal opinions as just that, a personal opinion. I would encourage my readers to seek out different perspectives on disability representation especially from BIPOC disabled creators who are often ignored in the disability discourse. Also some of the topics I will discuss might be triggering so please take care of your mental health when reading. I will also try to avoid giving away any spoilers for those who have not seen the film/TV show but if I have to give context for my arguments, this will be a likely occurrence so please be forewarned.

Autistic Woman Vs: Edward Cullen
Welcome back, my lovely readers and subscribers to Autistic Woman Vs, the series where I look at monsters whether they are monstrous fictional characters, the beasts of old, or anywhere in between. I will also examine the logical fallacies of this monster and what I would do if I met them. For this article I will be looking at Edward Cullen from the Twilight series. I know what some of you must be thinking; that Edward is not a monster but just a freaky stalker vampire dude who somehow ended up marrying the woman he creepily followed around. You would be right on the latter but the former? He is technically a monster, for a lot of reasons.

Miss K: Thank You
During my childhood, I had very few people that I could depend on to be my support system. As I have stated in other articles, I went through a lot of trauma in my childhood that resulted in me not being very trusting with other people, developing some unhealthy habits around relationships or else not being able to “see” the red flags. I often tried to find people who gave me even the slightest bit of kindness; that only resulted in my getting used by others for selfish gain. One person that I could depend on to be my shoulder to cry on was my English teacher, for the sake of privacy I am going to refer to her as Miss K.

Autistic Woman Vs: Dracula
Now the past couple years have not been great, with many terrible things happening or else terrible things from the past have come to the surface. But what has been great, at least for me, are new opportunities for pursuing my creative ambitions. So, I would like to introduce my new series called Autistic Woman Vs. Essentially, I will be examining some popular, and unknown monsters and talking about what I would do if faced with one of them. This is not going to be a serious, deep analysis, just more silly and fun.
