When a Tie Becomes a Symbol of Love
She met him at a Christmas party. She was attending with several of her friends, fellow young career women. The party was “all the way out in Long Island,” which made it a bit of a trek for these Manhattanites. Regardless, all the girls from the office were going, so it seemed like a necessary excursion, both personally and professionally. I’m currently working my way through her impressively lengthy novel Blonde about Marilyn Monroe. Amid the many hats she wears, she’s been an Artist-in-Residence at NYU, and has given many readings at the Lilian Vernon House over the years.

A Method to Make Your Writing Unique
“If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot.” ― Stephen King Reading just as much as you write, if not a lot more, is essential to your growth as a writer. It doesn’t matter what kind of writer you are; playwrights need to practice as much as poets and web content writers.

To Sweeten a Sour Soul
All three women of the house kept peeking out the curtains as a group of British soldiers approached. Watching them march up the hill was painful; they were still too far away for Anna to see them clearly, but she saw a group of three men.
