Hi Yo Silver
My mom had this thing of listening to classical music on her small radio. I could be wrong, but I think that brown box had only two stations: classical and country. When dad was working, mom turned on the radio. More often than not, we listened to classical. It was her favorite.

Distractions
I think everyone has a day or two like mine: can’t get a thing done for a variety of reasons. Yes, and I’ll be the first to admit it, I have days where I can sit at my computer and just stare at the blank screen having no energy to write even one word.

The Bleep-Bleep Email
While employed in a small firm as a receptionist, there were many times when I was bored to the point, I felt like taking a nap. Nope, not allowed. Well, of course, it’s not allowed! How would it look if someone came through the door looking for my boss? Hence, naps were not allowed. Neither was doing a crossword puzzle or reading a book. If we had no work, we had to invent it. Oh well, how to amuse myself and push my boredom aside? That was a huge question. Especially since I worked for an enormously strict lawyer. In the time I worked for him, I never once saw him in a good mood. Was it the job that always had him see foul days? Was it just his personality? No idea!

Where's the Head
Being divorced for more than fifteen years, I had learned to do things on my own. I did things my way and had become independent enough not to rely on anyone’s help. To be honest, there were other options for me. My sons were preteens and while they were a big help to me, I still found the need to do many things without asking them for help.

Still, Please
My husband loves to fish. That’s fine! I understand completely, as I do, too. Unfortunately, right now, I’m still recovering from knee surgery. Okay, so I’m at the tail end of my recovery but having my knee still somewhat stiff, I’m hesitant to get on the boat.
