Cosplayer Spotlight: Christina Barber
Before I attend GlitchCon later on this week, I decided to do one more cosplayer feature. Not to worry, because I'll be doing more of them after the con, so stay tuned. In case you missed my last cosplayer interview, you can check it out by going to the link at the end of this article. In the meantime, I recently got a chance to interview Christina Barber. 'Straight Pride' Is A Complete Joke
For the last several weeks, I've been running into articles about two different cities planning on hosting their so-called "Straight Pride". Those two cities are Boston, Massachusetts and the other that might hold one is Modesto, California. One of my cosplayer friends and I had a great conversation on this topic. We both agreed that these cities are doing this for attention. To me, I'm not outraged or upset at these two cities. They're free to have it, but I'm still going to side-eye it. Many people, including me, some of my friends, and LGBTQ allies, started dragging them online, as they should. As soon as I've seen that Modesto, California might have a "Straight Pride" event, I felt like I needed to write an open letter to some, not all, straight people. I'm in no way attacking you or your beliefs, but to go into detail of why "Straight Pride" is complete nonsense and ridiculous. I have many straight friends and family members, but you know what, I love them for who they are.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Isaiah Gieck
One of my favorite things about being a cosplayer is meeting people and forming friendships in the process. Not only that, but showing off my cosplays and enjoying myself at cons. I'm currently preparing for a con that's happening in my area in approximately a week. Also, I'll be attending Arkansas Comic Con for the first time in September. Mark's Favorite Power Rangers Toys
I started collecting Power Rangers toys back in 2013 and did so until late 2016. A majority of those purchases were from Toys "R" Us. Overall, I've spent over $300 worth of action figures and other toys during that time frame. In this article, I'll be counting down some of my favorite toys that I've chosen from my photo album on Facebook. I hope that you'll like my selections, so let's get started. I didn't have a shelf to display my action figures and other toys, so I used the top of my closet to display them.

Interview with Dale Krueger
2019 has been good to me so far and things have been going well. Just because Pride Month is over, it doesn't mean that I can't express my love for the people that I love. People including my wonderful fiancé, Dale. We first started talking to other through Facebook back in September 2018 and didn't make our relationship official until late January of this year. Almost six months later, he asked me to marry him, and, of course, I said yes. Last month, Dale actually came down from his home state of Wisconsin to Arkansas to spend a few days with me. This was our first time meeting one another. We had a great time and looking forward to him moving down to Arkansas with me sometime in October. As far as when we'll be tying the knot, no date has been set yet, because we want to be financially set first before we can start planning the wedding. Dale and I want a geek-themed wedding, and want our friends and family to attend. After so many failed relationships, I have found the one. I knew at least six months in that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. I love this man so much and he's my best friend.

3 Retro Games That Deserve a Movie or TV Series
We all know that movies based on the video games that we grew up playing are usually major flops, but I chose three random games that I would like to see in theaters, on TV, or on a streaming service like Netflix in the near future. The following games that you'll see on this list are ones that I grew up playing. For almost 30 years, I've played many games and always have that nostalgic feel. So without further ado, here are the three games that I would love to see as a TV series or movie.

'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Review
While everyone was enjoying their Fourth of July with their friends and loved ones, I went to see Spider-Man: Far From Home. Usually, I would spend this day watching fireworks, but I decided that I wanted to go see a movie instead. This is the first movie review I'll be writing about, and I hope by the time you finish reading it, you would enjoy it. While Tobey Maguire will always be my favorite Spider-Man, I have to tip my hat to Tom Holland. I didn't get a chance to give him props before, but I really enjoy him a lot more. He played the web-slinging hero well, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of him. Just a heads up on a few things before I proceed any further. I love Marvel movies and the MCU, but I don't follow it as much. I'm Team DC all the way, but starting to keep up with as much Marvel-related content as I can. In this review, I'll just go thorough some parts from Far From Home that stood out to me. Please bear with me, because I haven't done a review for a movie before. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's proceed to my review.

Captain Spider-Man Costume Review
Greetings, Vocal readers. I'm here to do a review, but this time, it's this awesome Spider-Man suit (pictured above). I've never owned a Spider-Man suit before, but always wanted to own one. My suit arrived on November 21, 2018, just about a week before Thanksgiving. I was ecstatic and eager to put it on. When I first tried it on, I felt like I was part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU for short. I posted pictures and video on social media, showing off my suit to my friends and followers. I've received positive feedback and I immediately fell in love with my suit.

The Demise of Toys 'R' Us: One Year Later
Everyone knows the Toys 'R' Us jingle by heart. We all sang it when all of us were kids—and as adults. Tomorrow is the one-year anniversary of the day that broke our hearts: the closing of all Toys 'R' Us stores. However, there is some good news that the beloved toy store is gearing up for a comeback. The question that came in my mind the other day: will it have the same nostalgic feel like before and be the same as I remembered as a child? According to multiple news articles, Toys 'R' Us is expected to return, just in time for the holiday season. Richard Barry, a former Toys 'R' Us executive, revealed plans for a relaunch. The new locations will be 10,000 square feet, as opposed to the 40,000 that was once proposed. As far as how many stores it'll open in the United States, those details are limited. Once more details are known, I'll be sure to update everyone.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Salina Curry
Interviewing almost two dozen cosplayers has been amazing. I got to know each and every one of them. To me, the cosplay community is one of many communities I'm proud to be part of. Whenever I go to a con, meeting people and enjoying the atmosphere are the two things I love the most about being a cosplayer. Being a cosplayer since 2014 has been a blessing. I've had my highs and lows, but managed to overcome so many obstacles, especially outside of cosplay. Not only that, but making lots of friends and having amazing con adventures in the process. I'll be attending cons outside of Arkansas, where I currently reside, in the future. That has always been one of my goals, so you'll be seeing more of me down the road.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Gary Prudhoe
Since I joined Vocal over a year ago, I've had the pleasure of interviewing 20 amazing cosplayers. They were great people, and I learned so much from them. Sure, they love cosplay and representing that community with pride, but at the end of the day, they're regular people just like us. I'm proud to be part of the cosplay community, and I have been a cosplayer for about five years. I have no plans of stopping anytime soon.
