In My Arms and Into Your Arms
Two favourite songs came to mind when I was with my Muse about where we both belong. Teddy Thompson’s “In My Arms” and The Lemonheads “Into Your Arms” . She belongs in my arms and I belong in hers. I am combimbining these into a single sonnet for my love, well for both of us.

Discovering Bob Dylan
I intended to write a piece on the song “Desolation Row” by Bob Dylan, a gorgeously epic surreal story set in some Western town at an unspecified time period, and then I started thinking of all the other songs and lyrics that are now permanently etched into my memory, so I changed my perspective and decided to tell you how I came to absolutely love Dylan’s work and how he has influenced a lot of my thinking.

Let's Work Together
My last post on how we benefit best from our interactions in the Vocal Facebook Groups “Solo or Threads - Posting In Vocal Facebook Groups -> Solo and Thread Posts Have Their Own Benefits and Drawbacks” really just touched on my personal opinion that Threads were a more engaging option than Solo Posts , though each have their own particular benefits.

You Are My Song
My Muse is always in my heart , though I still miss her when we are apart. The song I am using for this is the beautiful "Northern Sky" by Nick Drake and his opening words are perfect for my feelings for my Muse. I have used this song before for her and I know that she loves it.

The Four Riders of The Renaissance
To punish and destroy mankind the the Dies Irae sent his four horsemen of the Apocalypse, “Famine” , “War” , “Pestilence” and “Death” and they laid waste the Earth because man and womankind did not bow down , and Dies Irae was an angry god who could become irate at the colour of the sky, so when people did not follow his every word then they were a target for his anger. It was their fault for being there and not doing as HE said.

The Problem With Poems and a Two Word Haiku
I recently had a poem rejected because it didn’t meet the minimum word count for a poem for Vocal (a hundred words) . Most of my poems are under a hundred words but I usually include a preamble about the poem which then means the story hits maybe a hundred and fifty or mre words.

My Favourite Three ABBA Songs
Just been watching "Mamma Mia" and I thought maybe I could share my Favourite Three ABBA Songs. A lot of these list run to a hell of a lot of songs , and maybe only three songs may smack of laziness on my part , and there will be many great songs that don't make the cut , but I hope when you comment you tell me your favourite three ABBA songs and maybe even why they are your favourite.

Monarchy In The Uk
Monarchy In The UK seemed a good play on the Sex Pistols "Anarchy In The UK" for a vaguely British Royal Title based playlist. It's hardly ground-breaking but a bit if fun. There will be a hell of a lot that I miss off and where the artist is the one with the Royal title you will probably disagree with my choice, but you can easily make your own up and then share it with me. In fact I would love you to do that.

Miss Prince
So what is this all about? Actually, it’s a personal review of one of my favourite albums., and a timely reminder that there is always great music around in the present as well as the past. Janelle Monáe's "Dirty Computer is a testament to that.

We're Only In It For The Money
I chose "What's the Ugliest Part of Your Body" by Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention (the of Invention was added by the record company so try and avoid offending the more genteel minds) bcause at times it is especially if it values money over friendship.
