Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 18
Julie considered herself a fairly level-headed and smart person. She was only fifteen, but had been told all her life that she was always very mature for her age. It was this sense of advanced maturity that started her part-time career as the go-to neighborhood babysitter. She had quite a good rapport developed with all the families who lived on her street, and it wasn't long before her reputation as a responsible young adult began spreading to the surrounding streets. She became so busy that her parents put in a separate, private line just to screen her babysitting gig calls. In half a year, she had already made herself a decent little nest egg to grow her college fund upon, which she was very proud of.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 17
Tom was exhausted. He'd been delivering packages all day, and was eager to go home for the night. Lucky for him, he had just one package left to deliver. It was so small, he'd almost missed it to be honest. Still, the address wasn't too far off the beaten path, and he had been there a handful of times before, so it should have been easy enough to drop it off and pack it in for the evening.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 16
Robert thought he'd hit the jackpot of awesome, cushy jobs. For the past year, he'd made a decent living as a professional house sitter. The work was stupid easy in most cases: just make the house look lived in while the owner was away. Occasionally there was a pet that needed looking after too, or a handful of house plants to keep watered, but overall it was more or less the same every time. All Robert had to do was sit around and watch TV for a few days... and he got paid for it. Most of the homeowners were extra cool and allowed him to help himself to their pantries, as a part of his pay. The long and the short of it was Robert absolutely loved his job and thought he was the luckiest guy in the entire world... that is, until his last job.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 15
There was one story I heard a long time ago, that I honestly don't know really happened or not. It is a very sad story, to begin with, but I will try to do it justice and recount it to the best of my memory. You have been warned, and I will not judge you should you decide to stop reading here. For those more curious souls, I will continue.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 14
When Judy left home for college, she was eager to finally begin her young life of independence. She'd gotten into the school of her dreams on a scholarship, which her parents were very proud of even if it was a good three states over from her home. Although Judy didn't know anyone at her new school or the new town she would be moving to, she was a fairly outgoing young woman, and confident that she would make many new frends very soon.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 13
Jim and Lois had been driving all day. They were traveling cross-country from their home in Pittsburgh to visit Lois's ailing Great-Aunt Ida in Santa Fe. Sure, they could've flown (it certainly would have been quicker) but Jim had a crippling fear of flying. Both of them figured a little road trip would be fun; it gave them a chance to unwind upon the open road, and get reacquainted with each other. Although they had been married for almost five years now, neither of them recently seemed to have the time to just sit down and talk anymore with their individual busy schedules.

Silverwings and Small One
I have never in my life liked humans, or human children; a fact that still stands true today. Humans are filthy, loud, disgusting creatures, and their offspring are even louder and filthier. It is for this reason that I chose my Dwelling-Place as far from humans as possible. My forest was once a calm, quiet place; filled with fatted deer good for hunting, and clean, clear water for drinking and swimming in. I very much like the water, as it cools my scales when my Spark grows too hot. If I had it my way, I would curl up in the bottom of my Pool and lie there forever... but Small One would never allow it.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 12
In a little town known as Luthersville, Georgia, there's a little old brick building that not many people give a second glance. It's peeling white paint-covered facade holds a long, somewhat tragic history however. The plain little building was once the Luthersville county hospital, and later in its life was converted into a school building for adult learners. Today, though, the building stands vacant... or at least, it appears that way to the living.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 11
It all began the night after the hanging of Tex Orley. He'd been tried and sentenced for robbing the Gold Valley bank a week prior, and shooting the bank teller in the back in cold blood. Up until the moment of his execution, however, Tex Orley loudly and vehemently proclaimed his innocence. When the judge asked for his final words, Orley vowed that he would wreak his revenge on the citizens of Gold Valley for this injustice, even if that meant returning from the grave.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 10

They had been wanting to move out of the city and back into the suburbs ever since their daughter, Lucy, was born, but could never afford to move out of their small apartment until now.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 9
Many eons ago, there was a small village. Life in the village was peaceful, until a horrific plague began sweeping througout the land. The villages and towns of that day and age were no stranger to plague, but this one - dubbed the Blood Plague - was the worse any had ever seen. In the span of a single day, the Blood Plague had been said to wipe out every member of a village completely; it wouldn't spare any soul, slaying the newborn and the ancient alike in its path of destruction.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 8
Ben absolutely hated carnivals. Everything from the rattletrap rides that were one loose bolt away from collapsing, the greasy, disgusting food that was literally Salmonella in a paper boat, and those annoying, terrible midway games. The midway games to him were the worst: every single one was totally rigged, so you always wound up spending three months allowance on trying to win a stupid, threadbare little plush toy you could buy at any discount toy store. On top of that there was always a crowd at the carnival, meaning hours upon hours of pushing and shoving to even get anywhere while trying not to get trampled by snot-nosed little kids and their often obese, negligent mothers.
