We were given time to stand and stare
Recently I âstumbled overâ a poem by the Welch poet William Henry Davies, who lived from 1871 to 1940. Reading more about the author, I became aware of him being very famous in the 1970âs schools â students have been reading his poetry, and parents read this poem in particular to their children.

The New World of Abundance
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. What does that even mean? If I were in space with someone else, I wouldnât be able to hear them scream and vice versa? Could I hear the sound of my own scream? Could I maybe stop having this conversation right now, and get the h*ll out of my head? Space is clearly NOT where I am.
