Mama's Spicy Chicken Soup
There are a few recipes that my mother made that really stood out a lot to me, and one of them is her medicine soup - essentially. It's a spicy chicken soup she traditionally always made with chicken thighs or legs, and I, myself, preferred it with the thighs, but nevertheless. This soup is truly magical, and the healing it brings when you are suffering from a cold or some allergies is a welcome relief.

A Couple of Songs I Wrote… © Sai Marie Johnson 2025
These two sets of lyrics that I wrote tell a bit of a story in and of themselves. The first one is from the point of view of someone who has grown into maturity through many a trial and tribulation. It talks about a story of courage and strength that was created by the person going through devastating circumstances that others didn't quite grasp - and that person is me, but I know that others can relate to that and feel as if they were swimming against the current in an open, oftentimes tumultuous sea.
