Background Reviews are critical for small-time authors, since, without the name-brand recognition that a larger author can fall back on (e.g. âX has sold thousands upon thousands of books, so if they were complete dumpster fires weâd know by nowâ) we need to bring every persuasive weapon we've got to bear.
