80s music
The 80s were chockful of New Wave power ballads, synthesizers, drum machines, and no shortage of Madonna and Michael Jackson.
Some Canterbury Tales
Introduction I recently joined a Facebook group, "The Canterbury Scene", and they are extremely engaging and have been very welcoming when I have posted there, so I thought I would make a playlist of some of my favourite songs by Canterbury-related artists. You can check the group out here:

Being Top of the Heap
American singer and songwriter Bruce Springsteen came out with his fifth album The River in 1980. The album was Springsteen's attempt to make a record that captured The E Street Band's live sound. The album is heartland rock and roll with a live garage-band sound that combines party songs with introspective ballads. The lyrics to the songs expand on themes that Springsteen took on in his previous albums Born to Run (1975) and Darkness on the Edge of Town (1978). The songs mainly focus on love, marriage, and family.

Authored by a collaborator. King Soundzvibe: From Writing Remotely to Finding Rhythm in Afrobeat King Soundzvibe, known offstage as Promise Eric Sunday, is steadily emerging in the Nigerian Afro-beat scene. Born on August 8, 1997, in Nigeria, his journey into music wasn’t conventional. Before stepping into the world of beats, melodies, and performances, he built a foundation in storytelling—as a freelance writer working remotely. That experience would later shape the way he constructs songs, adding layers of narrative and emotional nuance to his music.

The Man They Never Understood: Michael Jackson and the Cost of Being Too Much for This World. AI-Generated.
Michael Jackson wasn’t just misunderstood—he was misinterpreted, mistranslated, and mythologized to the point where the real person disappeared behind the spectacle.
