80s music
The 80s were chockful of New Wave power ballads, synthesizers, drum machines, and no shortage of Madonna and Michael Jackson.
The day I saw Ozzy Osbourne in person
I will never forget the day I met Ozzy Osbourne. July 29, 2022. Friday. Los Angeles, California. SiriusXM Studios. I can’t remember how I heard about it. It was either through an email or on the SiriusXM app. I found out that SiriusXM was giving away tickets to attend the release special of Ozzy Osbourne’s new album “Patient Number 9” at the SiriusXM studios in Los Angeles, CA. I clicked the link as soon as I saw it. Then, just a couple of days later I received an email informing me that I had won two tickets to the show!

It's Not Blue Monday - Some Favourite New Order Songs
Introduction. New Order rose from the ashes of Joy Division and Ian Curtis’ suicide, and Joy Division were previously incarnated as Warsaw. New Order and Joy Division had Nazi origins and many punk bands donned Nazi regalia before it was seen, rightfully as an endorsement of Fascism, which ironically most of the punk movement was against.

Current Housing Market Status: In the last 3 or 4 years, a large number of homeowners have been trying to complete a "loan workout" with their current mortgage lender to lower the interest rate and improve the terms of their loan. Many lenders have chosen not to accept any new terms, rather, let the property go into foreclosure.

A Plagiaristic Playlist
Introduction There are many songs that borrow from others, some acknowledge their source, and some don’t. Some are deliberate and some are accidental. These are some that I have noticed over my life and you may agree with me or disagree with me, some are obvious and some are a little harder to discern but hopefully, you will enjoy all of them. All of the songs are excellent it;s up to you whether or not you agree with me, but hopefully, this will spur some commentary.

A New Wave Tarot Playlist #1
Introduction I always thought that the phrase New Wave was a dilution of the Punk ethic to make it more palatable for market consumption. Sort of when they learned to play they weren't punk anymore but they were New Wave. C’est La Vie

Listening To Music On The Move
Introduction I have had some issues with phones dying on me, using backup phones and eventually landing up with my Google Pixel 4XL. Since I got it I have not actually listened to any music on it even though I have some excellent wireless earphones/buds. I did load some music on for when I was going to use it but when I was walking I just didn’t bother listening to anything.

A Brief History of "It's My Party". Top Story - October 2022.
Lesley Gore It was in 1962 that 16-year-old Lesley Gore went for her voice lesson. But this time around she and her piano player decided to visit a local studio in New York to cut some demos. Through an agent her demo made it to the desk of Irving Green the president of Mercury Records. Green was impressed by what he heard and signed the 16-year-old Gore. Green teamed Gore with up-and-coming producer Quincy Jones. Jones had just finished recording his jazz albums Big Band Bossa Nova and Quincy Jones Plays Hip Hits. He also just wrapped up recording projects with Nana Mouskouri, Sarah Vaughan, and Dinah Washington and went right into working with Count Basie, Billy Eckstine, and the Teen Queen of the U.S.A.
