☀️ Dreamy Summer Vibes Vol. 1 . AI-Generated.
When the air gets warmer and the days stretch a little longer, there’s an unspoken magic that settles over everything. It’s in the quiet stillness of early morning light, the soft hum of a fan in the background, or the way sunlight dances on your skin during a lazy walk home. Dreamy Summer Vibes Vol. 1, the latest compilation from The Yume Collective, captures that magic in musical form.

Some Canterbury Tales
Introduction I recently joined a Facebook group, "The Canterbury Scene", and they are extremely engaging and have been very welcoming when I have posted there, so I thought I would make a playlist of some of my favourite songs by Canterbury-related artists. You can check the group out here:

The Silence Between Notes
Elias Mercer lived in the soft echoes of other people’s music. At sixty-four, he’d spent nearly four decades tuning pianos in the homes of strangers, in conservatories, and on forgotten stages where dust gathered like memories. His hearing wasn’t perfect, not anymore, but his hands—steady, precise—were still his sharpest instruments.

Do Artists Get Paid to Perform at Hot 97 Summer Jam? Here's the Real Deal. By NWO Sparrow
Every June, the tri-state locks in on Hot 97 Summer Jam like it’s the Super Bowl of hip-hop. Artists fly in, fans flood wherever the big show will be hosted that year between New York and New Jersey. 90s Hidden Gems: The Soft Bulletin-The Flaming Lips. Top Story - July 2025.
The Soft Bulletin- (1999) The Flaming Lips The Flaming Lips are an interesting band with quite the expansive history of weird things, such as dancing aliens in Christmas costumes at their concerts, to a shower of balloons coming down on the audiences, to an album that was meant entirely for each track to be played synchronized with each other on many different stereos at once. The Legacy of “The Boy is Mine”
The Boy Is Mine is one of Brandy and Monica’s best duet R&B songs from the 90s era, which involved two girls fighting over a boy. This song has earned accolades, including a Grammy win. It sparked an alleged "feud" between Brandy and Monica, even though it was proven untrue. The song continues with more covers and remixes, making the song a hit by popular demand.

I Fell in Love with a Voice Note
d It started, innocently enough, during the most mundane part of my day: answering work emails. I was in the middle of a week-long online collaboration with a few freelancers from different parts of the country, helping to organize content for a community podcast project. There were five of us. Our group was assembled overnight, dropped into a shared chat, and thrown into digital chaos with clashing time zones, Google Docs, and laggy Zoom calls.

90s Hidden Gems: Weezer's Side Project, The Rentals
ALBUM OF THE DAY: The Return of the Rentals (1995) The Rentals was a small side project band formed by Matt Sharp and Patrick Wilson of Weezer. The band also consisted of Tom Grimley (keyboards), Rod Cervera (guitar), and Petra Haden on violin and vocals. Petra’s sister Rachel also joined the band for vocals. Most Weezer fans will recognize Rachel Haden’s voice because she also sang vocals with Weezer later on the 1996 album Pinkerton (“I Just Threw Out The Love of My Dreams”).
