The Iron Waif: Marianne Faithfull
She’s probably best remembered as Mick Jagger’s 1960s girlfriend. Or the “girl wrapped in the fur rug” at the 1967 house party when the Rolling Stones were famously busted for drugs. Or the ethereal blonde beauty who was a muse to the best rock and roll band in the world when they were at their peak. But Marianne Faithfull is far more than an ex-concubine to a classic rock god. She’s an accomplished singer, songwriter, actress, and author in her own right.

Well it`s almost unbelievable that the previous decade (2010 to 2019) went so damn fast giving an evidence that time really flies. In this decade movements like Trap music, Cloud rap, Drill music, and Emo hip hop became mainstream. One Direction, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Jessie J, Calvin Harris, Ariana Grande, Drake, Lana Del Rey, Bruno Mars, Avicii, Rihanna, Fifth Harmony, David Guetta, Dua Lipa, Paramore, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, Little Mix, Ellie Goulding, Sia, Demi Lovato & One it wonders like Gotye & Passenger to name a few were my most favorites. Here in this list I will mention Songs 2010s which makes me go nostalgic like crazy.

The use of language is so particular and phenomenal. We give words to concepts that are nothing but a construct of what goes on inside our heads. We applaud and reward the ones who do it well. These are the people who understand how to use the sounds coming out of their mouths as more than a means of communication. These people give us a new thought process; it becomes guerrilla warfare in your head because what you have accepted as normal is now being challenged. We either accept it or we don't. Either way, we appreciate these people who seem to get the idea of language.
