So if you're tired of those same songs, no matter how many artists have sung them, you're in luck. This year, spice up your holiday playlist with the following 10 original holiday songs.

Music for a New Chapter
It's not unusual for people to say that music affects their mood. In fact, I think you'd struggle to find a person who would disagree. We, as a species, have mastered the art of music. We are able to make each other feel our emotions through a simple melody, eloquently crafted lyrics, and a lively beat. And I for one am not immune to the effects of music. A song can make me repeatedly cry due to the heartbreak that's been woven through it by the singer, but they can also improve my mood drastically within seconds of hearing the first chords.

Your Helpful Lil Concert Guide
Like anything else, preplanning is always the most important part of a concert. It's everything from "What should I bring?" to "How much money will I need?" I currently work for an Arizona-based concert promoting company that allows me to travel different venues. (And it even saves me a good bit of money on concert tickets) The one thing I noticed while working though was seeing how unprepared or even how upset some people got while trying to enter a show or even trying to enjoy the show. Luckily for you, I enjoy a good bit of different music and always find myself at a show so I have some tips for you! And if you've never been to a concert don't worry, I made this list in order from cheapest/smallest to the more expensive/bigger shows.

Beyond K-Pop
Hello, and welcome back to Silver Linings where I give a voice to the maligned, forgotten, and ignored. The Korean music scene has been on a hot streak for the last few years. This is attributed entirely to the genre known as "K-pop," South Korea's equivalent of the "J-pop" that Japan had pushed into anime fans' iPods for decades now. One of the biggest successes in music video history came thanks to Park Jae-sang, known to the world as "Psy," whose music video for the song "Gangnam Style" went viral to the point that, as of this writing, it has been viewed 3.2 BILLION (that's with a "B") times, making it one of the most watched videos in history. While subsequent international success eluded Psy, the group known as BTS took the ball and ran with it, becoming the most successful Korean act ever.

Top 10 Best Albums
To start off, I would like to say this is just my opinion and that music is a very subjective art form, so everyone has their own top ten, and this is my top ten albums from #10 to #1 based off of how the music reaches me through my mind, body, and soul. And I would also like to state that I do have a wide taste for music that includes many genres that go from classical to pop to hip-hop/rap and even techno, etc., so I hope some of you can find something new to enjoy out of these ten amazing albums.

Eight Taylor Swift Songs I'd Play for My Younger Self
I was nine when Taylor Swift’s debut album was released. I consider myself someone who has always been a Swiftie, although at that age (in the mid-2000s especially), kids don’t really know about fandoms and online communities. I just knew there was a sweet girl with gorgeous, almond-shaped eyes lying on the ground singing a song called “Tim McGraw” at the top of the country music video countdowns every single week. I was as hooked as a nine-year-old could be.
