10 Best Fiona Apple Songs
Though she has a relatively small catalog, Fiona Apple is one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 1990s. Her powerful voice, confessional lyrics, and heavy playing style have made an indelible mark in music, and these are 10 of what I think are her finest tracks. For this list, I considered popularity, songwriting quality, and emotional intensity. It was difficult to choose, so here are a few honorable mentions:

7 Good Songs From Awful Bands
So, maybe I was a little too harsh on Alice Cooper. Maybe I was a little too harsh on Green Day. Oh, well. Now, I would like to focus on the opposite side of the spectrum, so on this list I will be taking a look at 7 songs that I personally feel are pretty good, if not great, from bands that, well... aren't. Like the last list I will attempt to avoid deep cuts and primarily focus on songs that were fairly popular. Also, like the last list this is again just my own personal opinion, so don't get your knickers in a twist... or something. A couple of these songs are even some of my favorites ever. Yes, really. So with that in mind, let's begin:

7 Terrible Songs by Great Bands
"Nobody's perfect." These immortal words, originally spoken by the legendary Hannah Montana, reign true, even in the cases of the greatest bands to walk the face of the Earth. On this list, I will be taking a look at 7 of what I believe are terrible songs that exist within the catalogs of bands that most, including myself, consider to be great. However, I am going to try to veer away from deep cuts, primarily focusing on songs that did relatively well. Without further ado, let's kick things off with:

7 Haunting Songs About Death
Happiness be damned. While the occasional pop banger does a lot towards keeping one's psyche blissfully aloft, one simply can't escape the existence of a universe saturated by music that explores the dark and inevitable subject of death. While some try to avoid the topic, many are consistently drawn to it. Whether it be a realization of one's own inevitable fate, or his/her own experiences with the demise of others, the concept of death is one that has continued to fascinate the artist as well as the listener since, well, as long as music has existed. This list is by no means a list of the greatest songs to take on the topic, but are certainly ones that stand out to me.

10 Best Tori Amos Songs
Tori Amos has a vast catalog of A-sides, B-sides, demos, remixes, soundtrack contributions, live variants, and covers. Just 10 songs will never be able to cover all of her moods, sounds, and experimentations, but in this article, I'll do my best to give an overview of what I think are her best tracks. In the interest of fairness to the expansiveness of Amos's discography, only one song per album was chosen. I chose these songs based on popularity, composition, lyrics, and emotional content. As I said, it's impossible to cover everything in 10 tracks, so I'd like to throw out a few honorable mentions:

5 Life Lessons Music Has Taught Me
We're all suspected of being under the influence of music, relying on this harmless addiction to boost our levels of dopamine. Chasing that rush, sending chills down the spine, calming the chaos in our mind — music seems to become our personal pharmacist. Beside this beneficial effect on the emotional roller coaster inside of us, music can teach us many valuable lessons on life, and make us overall better human beings.

Catchiest Metal Cover Songs. Top Story - August 2017.
Most people cast metal aside as one of those music genres that is all about screaming to the sound of thrashing guitar riffs. For some bands, this might be true. After all, not all metal bands are good — and some are downright awful.

Most Memorable Rock Singers Who Passed Away
Rock and roll legends have helped pave the way for modern day musicians. Whether it was their riffing guitars or booming drums, you cannot take away from the breathtaking vocals that come from the lead singer. Indeed, the lead singer is the voice of the band (both literally and figuratively), and the one who tells the story and helps to bring raw emotion into each and every song. Unfortunately, many of the most legendary vocalists from eras past have since moved on to their resting places. It is these rock and roll greats that we can thank for the classic songs that we still play today, and for the modern day music that stems from those who came before us. For those who have a passion for music, especially the rock and roll genre, these iconic figures and their iconic deaths will not be forgotten. Let's take a look at some of the most memorable rock singers who have passed away.

Top 3 K-Pop Groups To Add To Your Playlist.
Even though K-Pop has been around for a very long time, it blew up even more in the U.S after the phenomenal boy group known as BTS took home a Billboard Music Award back to South Korean. They are the first group to bring home such an achievement, but I doubt they will be the last. For those who are just getting into the K-Pop scene, here's a short list of K-Pop groups you should consider adding to your playlist.

Best Goth Bands with Female Singers
Goth music has always involved hard beats, innovative electro-synth influences, and pretty dark lyrics. However, one thing that most goth music doesn't have is female vocals. For reasons beyond understanding, most goth bands don't really have female singers — or female bandmates.

5 Songs for Survivors of Sexual Abuse
Music is emotion, just as emotion is music. Music is a tool which can be used to make you feel better or worse. I guess this mostly depends on your preferences. I use music to make myself feel stronger, but also to release some of the pent up emotions I'm afraid to unleash. If I can feel through the music, maybe eventually it won't hurt anymore. On the other hand remembering makes me angry and anger gives me strength. I'm a survivor. I survived.
