The catman part II
When Kiss sat down to record their first album, things went on smoothly for Peter, Gene, Ace and Paul. I heard on an interview that the recording session was a piece of cake. They had been playing the same 10 songs for nearly a year. All they did was some voice overdubs, a couple of layered guitars and the record was done.

The Catman
Besides being the driving force behind the rhythm section of the band Kiss, he came up with the concept of the Catman that the band still uses. George Peter John Criscuola, better known by his stage name Peter Criss was more a flashy dresser than a flashy drummer, but what a drummer he certainly is.

Maurice Ravel's Bolero
“Works of art make rules, rules do not make works of art.” This famous quote by the master composer of the Impressionistic era Claude Debussy summarizes the true essence of a work of art. There should be no boundaries when it comes to creating something that can stand the passing of time, with this piece, this is not the case. We assume that your most accomplished and renowned work as a composer must be something that shows compositional magnificence. A composer’s masterpiece considered “rubbish” by the same composer is not what we can catalog as fulfilling creative work.

Larissa. The Mistress of Large Music. Episode no. 6
EPISODE NO. 6 “THE BRITS” In this episode we will hear music from The Brits. British composers of the late 19th Century, and first half of the 20th Century. Edward Elgar, Ralph von Williams, Cyril Scott, William Walton, and Frederick Delius. British orchestral composers are as different from each other as the atmosphere of Mars, Venus and Jupiter. It is amazing they all lived on one rainy little island in the north Atlantic. In these five composers we again hear the vast variety of music styles available within a symphony orchestra. The only thing similar in their music is the instruments used to play the music.

Generations of Music
Every generation has their own style and type of music. The 1950's really kicked it off with the rock and roll. Elvis, The Big Bopper, Richie Valens, just to name a few. Then came the 1960's the antiwar movement by Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Lennon etc. But you also had some really good artist from that time period such as the Mama's and Pappas. It was a great time musically in our country. These were just the great popular music, and soft rock groups of that time period. Then we had the likes of Johnny Cash, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Conway Twitty, just to name a few on the country side. Back in our time you had to have something called talent in order to be a singer, not auto-tune.
