Testing Milk Makeup
Let me start by saying, I am not someone who enjoys spending my money. My main weakness is clothes, but nothing I have is worth over £20 and I buy most secondhand or on sale. If I’m taking a long train journey, I use sites to split my ticket and make it cheaper. I nab discount codes off all my uni friends for anything I can, and if my boyfriend and I are getting a takeaway we halve the portions. It’s 2018, there’s no time to be careless with your earnings, am I right? So the thought of buying one item of makeup, something that will last a few months at most, for £20+ terrifies me. And yet here I am, writing a review on a brand that sells foundation for $42 (around £32) and four eyeshadows for $36 (£28).

Should You Brush Your Hair?
I used to be completely brush obsessed when I was younger because my hair reached my knees and the tangles were impossible. The state of my hair didn’t concern me back then because I just braided it and went on with my life. Now however, it’s all different. First, I like to be low maintenance while looking like I put in work, and second, I now have shorter hair that reaches just past my shoulders. Though everyone could benefit from this post you’re about to read, I do want to point out that if you have crazy long hair, you will want to brush it in some way unless you like surprise dreadlocks.

Dream Skincare
I have always struggled with dry skin. I’m from an island originally, and grew up just an hour or so away from the sea. My living environment was always humid, so when I first moved to Alberta, my skin acted out so much that it was painful. For a long time I looked for solutions, I must have tried every lotion in the drugstores, but none seemed to do the trick. It was one thing or another, either the smell was wrong, the consistency, too greasy, too liquid, some would just plain not work!

Do You Need a Skin Routine?
Do you really need a skin care routine? Does it really work and is it worth it? If you've read my story on "do you need rose water?" you got a glimpse into my skin care problems. I have very sensitive skin. I'm allergic to a lot of soap products, and have very mild to severe reactions when I use face masks, lotions, face wash, and even products that have been prescribed to me by a doctor. I even have huge reactions to something that is in our water (usually after each shower I take, I come out with burned skin and have awful rashes all over my body).

Winter Paradise Mascara
There are these commercials I always see in the late spring about waterproof mascara for all those pool parties you’re about to go to. They go something like “Do you want amazing eyelashes in the shower? How about in the pool or while you’re in the ocean? Well THIS mascara will stay on your eyes through a nuclear blast! Impromptu dive of the Mariana’s Trench? You’ve got this girl!” I used to almost get anxiety over this because there are so many of these commercials and I’m sitting there like “oh my god my mascara will totally run in the Marianas Trench…”

Do You Need Rose Water?
I've always heard about rose water, but never really understood how it would benefit my life. Everybody at one point in their lives has problems with their skin. I found myself with a huge skin problem. In all honestly I used to have really bad acne. They were always large, inflamed, and so painful… not to mention, hideous! Then all of a sudden, they went away and I honestly only found myself getting acne around that time of the month (sorry for the possible tmi, I am very open about the body… we all go through similar things anyways). So, whenever I saw pimples on my face, I knew what was coming.
