Why I will no Longer be Shopping at Sephora
I used to have a problem when it came to shopping on Sephora.ca and buying a lot much makeup. A few years ago, I became obsessed with “beauty gurus” on Youtube and I began buying lots of makeup. At the time, it brought me a lot of joy and I loved playing with eyeshadow palettes and colours. I spent a lot of time and money buying tons of makeup.

How the Internet cured my lips
When I was young I would think it was because I’d been out in the sun too much, as I grew up in a coastal town in Australia my summers were spent at the beach or outdoors and my surfer cousins had the same dry, cracked lips so I would just shrug my shoulders and go on with my childhood never slapping any lip balm on them.

i happily graduated high school in 2017 with a face of tinted moisturizer and boom! i was on my way into the real world. however, since then i've acquired a lot of adult acne and a penchant for looking like a freak of nature and thus, i am now a makeup "artist".

my beauty favs of 2019
i told myself that in 2020 i would start writing again because it's good for the braincells and i must be creative or i will simply disintegrate. i made a lil instagram post recently on my "professional" "cosmetology" "portfolio" listing my beauty favs and some of my girls, babes, and theys asked me to elaborate. so, because i am so dedicated to the craft, i opened up this account and it will probably maybe most likely become a sort of beauty blog for me!

How to Clean Makeup Sponges
So while I was going through my daily scroll through Amazon this morning, I couldn't help but notice how many makeup removal products there are and how they are all targeted towards only makeup brushes. There were also only gel products meant for your face. I felt like makeup sponges were being heavily neglected, which is not great because sponges are the most likely home for gross bacteria compared to other makeup tools that are left unclean.

How to Properly Store Makeup Sponges
After writing my post about cleaning makeup sponges I learned just how important it is for proper storage as well. Not only does proper storage lengthen the life of your sponge and require you to buy replacements less, but it also saves you time by not needing to clean them as often! Besides, leaving our porous makeup tools out and about to be on their own probably isn't the most hygienic thing to do. In this post, I'll provide some tips for proper storage as well as some cute/handy products to add to your beauty shelf to help with storage!

Function of Failed
So, after figuring it was about time for a "treat yourself" day, I found an offer to try the Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner... Well, it wasn't hard to find after they had over ALL of the ads on my Instagram videos of girls who "genuinely tried this new shampoo, and could genuinely not recommend it enough because it was genuinely so great." (Safe to say it seemed like a genuine review—not.)
