Introduction

This novel is based on a true story. The telling of this story is not for revenge, but to offer a lesson to protect the unwary from getting taken in by others.

After losing his job, David struggled to recover and find employment. Little did his wife Mel know that he had taken bribes at his previous employment, these bribes were to promote a supplier not approved by his Company.

It transpired that the new supplier, David promoted, was incapable of delivering on their promises and this company failed to complete the orders placed. As a result, David’s employer went bankrupt. The entire workforce lost their jobs because of David’s fraudulent activity.

Mel, concerned about their financial situation, and after advice from a friend, decides to book an expensive cruise in order to change their fortunes and find a new business venture. They find an opportunity with Hugo, a widower on board, and an acquaintance from the past indirectly leads them to a new destiny.

Inspiration was taken from the successful TV Show, Strictly Come Dancing.
