Review: Dawn of the Firebird
Dawn of the Firebird is a stunning, sweeping story that takes place in a world inspired by central Asian landscapes and culture and food; this is everything I love about fantasy and more. DOTF joins the likes of Blood Scion and She Who Became the Sun, books that don’t just appropriate the aesthetics of royalty and revenge but says something with it. And boy does Rana have a lot to say!

"Ward D" by Freida McFadden Will Have You Guessing Until the Very End
When was the last time a book you've read had your jaw on the floor? When it comes to reading, my preferred genres are speculative fiction like science fiction and fantasy, suspense and thriller. Of course, I don't mind wandering into other genres if the plot is appealing enough for me.

Another Book...
And here comes something for the season... I have decided to put out an electronic edition of 'A Techno Carol,' just in time for the holiday season. I know that some of you have read this story here on Vocal, but I think that there might be a larger market for a story about a boy not appreciating a very expensive gift, and then being forced to learn the true meaning of gift-giving.
