Brass Ring Chapter 11: When Bad Fights Happen to Good Stores
In the sauna back at CAPES headquarters, Oliver and Cass were enjoying the steam. “Having telekinesis means not having to move.” A dipper moved apparently of its own accord and splashed water on the rocks. As the steam went up the dipper went down.

Brass Ring Chapter 12: A Speedster Returns
Paul had to run past the Worthington Private School for Boys to get to the CAPES HQ. He saw something, so ran back to see what was going on. A crowd of boys circled another, pushing and shoving another boy. Paul quickly consulted his mental maps of the area, smiling as he remembered the candy store just a block away. He doubled down on his speed. I wonder if I can do this without them seeing me….

Decland's Last Sunset
Decland stood, watching Annalise and Cella bicker with one another as their spat over the horses escalated. Presently they stood not but a foot apart, heated energies fueling their arguments, each equally adamant and stubborn that their perspective made the most sense. He, however, was the picture of cooolness, leaning against an ancient alderwood trunk, arms folded casually across his chest, emerald eyes lit with mild amusement as they always were when he observed two of the gentler sex battle with snide comments and bitter retorts. A humorous event found in nature: females taking holding opposing stances.

4-H-N On The Trail, Chapter Three
4-H-N kicked out of her stand and scorched the supermarket tiles, as swirling turbid liquid swallowed potent particles and summarily swelled to a greyish-white mountain rising above the stacks. Yorkshire puddings had hit the quadrant in a big way, and from a retail perspective the only problem was the panic-buyers were racing for the emergency exit rather than the tills. Soggy vastness heaped itself over aisle-top after aisle-top, while the bloating batter encroached outward as well as up, squeezing every last breath of space from the avenues between. It was so like a nightmare that as 4-H-N Habitrailed ahead she began to think she’d fallen asleep in front of the telly again, watching either a Katsuhiro Otomo film or Delia Smith.

4-H-N On The Trail, Chapter Two
For some hours 4-H-N traipsed the lit streets, a female Mini-Flash conspicuous only for the small backpack she wore, which looked like it was slotted together from interlocking plates of metal. At length she found herself before the entryway of a vast supermarket concourse. Above the heads and other organs of life-forms proceeding inside, spotlights fanned the beginnings of space where bobbed several blimps bearing the outlet’s name.

4-H-N On The Trail, Chapter One
Every week when she wasn’t on duty, 4-H-N would go down to Prof’s lab and spend time with Robo-Petunia. That automated approximation of a pretty girl seemed to have somehow imprinted on her, perhaps because it was 4-H-N who’d dragged her out of the junkyard storeroom where she’d been stowed. Today they were sitting on the laboratory floor, pointing the soles of their feet at each other, and slowly rolling a yellow Flashball back and forth between them.

Sparrow on a Plank Chapter 13: Into The Bowels of Hades
Sal and Hajime quickly re-established their routines, with a few noticeable differences. Hajime was able to maintain his morning meditation and the evening stint in the crow's nest, but his instruction in the ways of the sea was stepped up a bit. This meant that he had to deal with a certain of hazing, but he was learning a new profession. By the time he hit Bubastos, he knew as much as a journeyman sailor, and was able to sail a small boat by himself, or be part of a crew without embarrassing himself.
