Stream of Consciousness
Distance
We were close until that fateful day came, and our dark lives tore us away. We lived through untold traumas, and shared the pain and the love in a friendship that was rare; but here we are now, thirty years later and all you can do is talk to me, like I'm a stranger.

Solstice of Renewal
In the quaint town of Solara, nestled between rolling hills and a shimmering lake, the anticipation of the summer solstice was palpable. The townspeople had been preparing for weeks, dusting off old scrolls and relics, and reawakening the tales of their ancestors. This year, they were to revive an ancient solstice ritual that had been dormant for centuries.

The Magic Mic of Possibilities
I am an artist. I've always been an artist. That's who I am, but it's not who I truly be. Not in entirety. I am also a writer, an author, a songstress, a craftswoman, nature enthusiast, music lover, and technology wizard. I love the arts and science, and I am led by my own voice into the future.

Speak to me
The world is too full of silence. Still and heavy, suffocating with every space between breaths. I fill it with music and dialogue. Mozart, Papa Roach, Panic! at the Disco, but the silence persists, ever present. My body spasms and shrieks in pain, joints popping, bones pushing through muscle hoping to distract me but it is only the ringing in my ears that provides slight relief.

The Quiet Cries of Unfulfilled Dreams
In the silent corridors of the soul, where dreams and realities clash, there lies a deep-seated discontent. This isn't the loud, raging dissatisfaction of thwarted ambitions, but rather the soft, lingering ache of life not aligning with the heart’s desires. It's not that I despise the life I lead, but there are moments when the quiet hum of my existence seems painfully inadequate, and I yearn for something more, something profoundly different.

"The Great Room Revival"
I stood in the doorway, surveying the chaos before me. My room, once a tranquil sanctuary, had devolved into a disaster zone. Clothes were scattered everywhere, books teetered precariously on my nightstand, and the floor was a minefield of discarded papers and forgotten trinkets. It was time to embark on a mission: Operation Clean Room.

This is not the life I ordered, but...
I thought I did everything right. I followed the course for the most part. I stayed out of trouble, or at least I thought I was. I worked, I had good people as friends, I gave my heart to Jesus, and I even went to college and became a college grad. So how did I end up at 53 years old on Social Security disability, divorced, and only one more mistake away from sleeping at a homeless shelter? I've been trying to figure that out for a long time. No, this is not the life I ordered. I wanted to have a career that would take care of more than my basic needs. I wanted to have a marriage that was unbeatable. I wanted to feel secure and happy, more so than what Social Security offers.
