Please Stop Sending Me Reels
You know, back in my day—I was born in 1998, so we’ll say 2018 was my peak—memes were simple. Funny image, text, done. Maybe a screenshot of a Tweet or a Tumblr post. Sharing was easy; just right click, copy, and paste into the chat, or on your page, or whatever. Consuming was easy as well. Just look, read, blow a little bit of air out of your nose, continue on. Your homie sends you a dank meme, you respond with a trite “lol,” and you move on with your life. They cared. You adore that. That’s your homie.

Lie To Me.. Content Warning.
Ok. I have only ever recounted this story one other time. Whenever asked about this Era of my life from my family and my friends I always keep the details to myself and just stick to the Who/What/When/Why & Where. With this in mind please understand that I will be changing names, dates, and for the sake of keeping this story to a readable length certain event(s) will be shortened or bulleted. I will do my best to answer any questions that may arise. Thank you for reading about the worst experience of my life.

From Death to Life
We got the call on January 2nd, the day after finding out that my partner's cousin had tragically died trapped in a house fire leaving behind 4 kids. I watched from zoom as my dads face twisted in concern. He had stopped steps away from the burial ground where he would lay his brother to rest. The camera man had been canvassing my uncle's funeral and happened to sweep over my dad at the very moment that he said, “Mummy is in hospital”.

Why nobody is helping you.
I received recently a message from a stranger on LinkedIn which I found very rude and misguided, so I thought I’ll write an article about it. This total stranger after a quick “Hello” message proceeded to send me a good bunch of messages asking me to help him any way I could, he was very persistent on me finding a job for him. I was taken aback by all these messages, firstly because this was a total stranger to me and secondly even if I felt like helping him, his very aggressive approach left a sour taste to say the least.

Is Reciprocity Cyclical?
Introduction I was going to ditch this as it might just seem like me whining about losing readers, one of the reasons for this was me walking out of a group after being pilloried by one of the members for "not sticking to the rules" and "self-promotion" because I shared Vocal stories there.

Long Distance Relationship
"I love you." Do you though? Do you really love me? How do I know if your being truthful? How do I know you aren't lying to me? It's not like I can just walk out of my house to come see you. That's the lore of a long distant relationship... you never know if one is being faithful or not.

The Ups And Downs Of The Unconscious
My life could be perfect material for a crime story. I was born and severely abused by people who were supposed to protect me from the dangers of this world. And although they protected me physically (as outwardly perfect parents) by providing me with food and shelter, there was also physical and mental abuse ruining it all. See where I'm coming from?

Move Over Holly, Hanukkah is Here
Oh look, it's December! That means it's Chris-HANUKKAH season! That's right, it's time for the Festival of Lights and lots of jelly doughnuts. We'll light some candles, sing some songs, and fill our bellies with fried food. Do you know why?

Winged Victory
I'll confess, I thought long and hard about whether I wanted to participate in this Challenge. I'm not much of a sharer of the deep, personal parts of myself. At least, not on the internet, where your digital footprint will follow you even after death. (Morbid, sorry, hang in there)
