The Disappearance of Susan Cox Powell
It was December 6, 2009 when Susan Cox Powell was last seen alive. She had attended church with her two young children and was last seen when her neighbor left her house that evening around 5:00 PM. The next day she did not make it to work and the boys did not attend daycare. When Susan and Josh did not answer the phone the next day, family members called the police to report them missing. Fearing the family had been victims of carbon monoxide poisoning, the responding officers kicked in the door to their home only to find no one was there. Susan's wallet and identification were left behind and there were two box fans blowing on a newly cleaned couch.

Incident on Train L-112
It’s a sad truth of the law enforcement profession: sometimes, we aren’t very sympathetic to the victims of crime. “Guy leaves his laptop on the table while he goes to the can? With all his work on it, and he hasn’t backed it up? What a dumbass!”

Reason First: Is Benzino a Racist?
It’s one thing to spew hatred on the media landscape to match the directions of radio stations, television channels, and websites. But with respected figures like Benzino, he should have had greater situational awareness. Instead of going on a racist tirade, he should have paid attention to the blatant bigotry and racism that he spouted towards a law enforcement officer. As a man of mixed races, he may have been compelled to spit such hatred. It’s either that or he just could not control his emotions.

My Review of 'The Mule'
I was a little apprehensive when my girlfriend suggested watching The Mule. I didn't know much about it, but if it's a Clint Eastwood movie I think I've probably seen it already. Usually his movie's are based off some real life situation where there's some self sacrifice at the very end to get the audience to feel for the main character.

Reason First: What Should Happen to the North Face Looters?
The savages who stole over $30,000 worth of North Face merchandise are in bad company. Whether it’s in relative normalcy, or a natural disaster, or computer secrets, thieves have been more than willing to act as brutes. From the Johnstown, Pennsylvania Flood of 1889 where white people used pliers to pry gold from the mouths of the dead and snapped off ring fingers to obtain jewels, to China swiping data, to this present incident with negroes, the same idea remains the same in all incidents: second-handedness.

The Mysterious Man of Somerton Beach
The sickly sweet ocean air is heavy, waves crashing against banks of sand in a soundless buzz. It's early, too early for a body to wash up against the shore, the neon sun barely peaking above the choppy sea water. The man is dressed nicely, a suit around his shoulders. He looks as if he's sleeping, but investigators know all too well that the mystery man who appeared from nowhere has a story behind him.

Black Medusa
A cold, moonless night with a slight drizzle of rain set the tone for bad things to come. The big black Escalade roared down the long, black, serpentine I-77 highway toward Sugar Creek road where a neighborhood hole-in-the-wall, rump-shaking club lived. The destination: the Viper lounge, where men went to get their drink on and find female companionship. It wasn't a rump-shaking club, but what went on in the private rooms stayed in the private rooms. A little after midnight and they were making good time since the interstate wasn't busy.

Token Black
Two AM Sunday morning, but the usual after midnight crowd at Mitch's bar on Central Avenue didn't stick around on the account that it was the Lord's day. Owned by a man with the same name, Mitch Blake, a former actor who was once a pretty boy in Hollywood, became an aging pretty boy as his star began to diminish, so he left tinsel town to come back home and use his money to open a bar.

5 Takeaways from the First Trailer for 'Knives Out'
For the record, I really enjoyed The Last Jedi. I thought that director Rian Johnson knocked that Star Wars story out of the park with bold narrative choices, strong visuals, and a modest, but palpable sense of humor and fun. My fellow critics appear to agree with me for, the most part, but a venomous, vocal group of Star Wars fans has nevertheless fouled much of the memory of The Last Jedi with their toxic takes on the movie.
