President Cyril Ramaphosa's pursuit of secure borders in South Africa.
President Cyril Ramaphosa's pursuit of secure borders and streamlined travel facilitation in South Africa took a significant step forward with the establishment of the Border Management Authority (BMA). This milestone was officially marked when President Ramaphosa launched the BMA in Musina, which is home to the bustling Bates Bridge border, one of the busiest entry points in the country. The launch of the BMA came after it had been formally established and gained status as a scheduled 3A public entity on April 1, 2023. The establishment of the BMA represents a pivotal development in South Africa's efforts to enhance border security and facilitate safe travel. For years, South Africa's borders had posed challenges, particularly in dealing with the influx of undocumented migrants. Annually, thousands of undocumented migrants were detained and deported at the Bates Bridge border post, primarily originating from Zimbabwe and other countries. Previously, these borders were managed through a multi-agency approach, but this approach appeared ineffective in addressing the national security threats and complexities within the border environment. Consequently, a single line of authority was deemed necessary for border law enforcement operations, leading to the establishment of the Border Management Authority. The BMA will now take charge of border management operations and work towards resolving these long standing issues. This shift is a significant one, as it aims to ensure a more humane and effective approach to addressing border-related challenges. President Ramaphosa, in his role as the key chairperson, is fully committed to this endeavor. The launch event was not only attended by President Ramaphosa but also by members of the inter-ministerial Coordinating Committee, the BMA, and the Border Technical Committee. During the event, President Ramaphosa and the accompanying dignitaries also toured the Bates Bridge border Port of Entry to gain firsthand insights into the operational aspects of this critical border crossing. In conclusion, the establishment of the Border Management Authority under President Cyril Ramaphosa's leadership represents a significant step toward achieving secure borders, safe travel, and streamlined facilitation of border-related activities in South Africa. This marks a turning point in addressing the challenges that have long plagued the nation's borders.

"Scooby-Doo" 2002
It's what You thought college parties would be like growing up. The Mystery Gang reunites under the guise of a horror-themed tropical resort. With legitimate spooky demons, island rituals, hotties with bodies, vats of ectoplasm, a surprise twist villain, and (adult) humor; it gave us way too many sexual awakenings.

Excuse Me! That is NOT Yours! Put it Down!
Yesterday a friend and fellow Vocal creator saw that a deeply personal story of theirs, one that was a recent Top Story and one filled with their most vulnerable thoughts, was plagiarized and reposted on Vocal. Although they had already reported it, I went and did so, too, in solidarity.

Addressing Ghana's Open Urination Issue. Content Warning.
In the bustling streets of Ghana, it has become an all too familiar sight - walls adorned with the simple yet stern warning, "Do Not Urinate Here." This graffiti is ubiquitous, spreading its message across cities, towns, and villages in various colors and styles, some even etched in charcoal. It's a message that attempts to deter a growing cultural norm in Ghana – open urination.
