The Girl Who Goes to Community College
When people think of community college, they think that it’s a school for lazy people who will never amount to anything. This stigma is far from the truth, so if you are one of those judgmental people who throw shade, oh do I have some news for you. community college IS just as impressive as going to a university.

5 Things I Wish I Knew Before College
College. It's what we all dream about growing up. The new freedom, new friends, and new experiences that are all shown in television and movie portrayals of college. Well, I hate to burst any bubbles, but not everything on TV is true in real life. I am just going to be telling of my experiences and lessons learned as a sophomore in college. Who knows if you have come to or will come to my same realizations, but either way, this is what I wish I knew.

Bad Credit, Good Credit: How Student Loans Can Roadblock Home Ownership
At the end of every year, we make our resolutions. "I vow to lose 20 pounds this year," or "I vow to finally visit London!" For the past three years, my resolutions have involved milestones that would be helpful in being to able to finally own a house. Towards the end of 2017, I found a broker and a real estate agent. I paid off massive amounts of credit card debt and was able to get my credit score high enough (upper 600's) to qualify for the first time home owners grant which would mean having low interest and zero money necessary down.

Making the Tough Decisions
School is underway for most, no matter the level of education, such as high school, undergraduate college, community college, graduate programs, etc. Education is incredibly important, and doing well within school becomes a main goal, if not the most important thing to work towards for those who are studying. This can cause incredible amounts of stress and worry.

Why University Is Perfect For Those Who Hated School
I won't lie to you all. I LOVED SCHOOL. Mostly, I loved being able to spend every second of those six hours with my best friends since I lived out of town and couldn't see them much out of school hours. I enjoyed learning and managed to find the perfect mix of mischievous banter and getting on with my work that I, for the most part, stayed on the good side of my teachers.

Not My Future, Not My Class
Everything is so bright, so new. Nervousness ripples inside you as you struggle to find the correct room. A meeting with your guidance counselor for the next four years is waiting. You pass many classrooms, and most are labeled. You pass the science wing and shudder. Science was not a strong spot for you in high school and you're glad that those days are behind you.

Life in a Famous University
That day arrives. The mailman/woman walks to your driveway and shoves the important documents that determine whether or not your future career will be on the correct path. You run out and immediately grab all the envelopes in your mailbox and run back inside. You were so excited that you even forgot to close your mailbox. When you enter back inside your humble home, your parents are looking at you with quizzical looks due to the fact that you basically ran like the Flash to go to the mailbox. You do not even sit on the couch. You are standing...well, pacing back and forth literally dropping the envelopes that are not important to you.

I Am Not Ready to Graduate
I have always been a good student. I excelled in the classes I enjoyed, and I tried my best in the classes that didn't necessarily click (I have avoided science courses like it was the devil). I was also always extremely involved and would want to put my hand in everything. I loved the idea of being a part of something, and now it is coming to an end.
