Only Parents Can Guarantee the Success of their Kids
Are charter schools the answer? Everyone has had a great deal of contact with public education. Everyone is an expert — or so they think. We began a grand tradition in the United States to educate everyone. Many people would argue that our experiment has failed.

The Joy of Reading. Top Story - November 2021.
If there's one skill I value above all others, it is the ability to read. My mom told me that at an early age I could read back some of my favorite stories, though she wasn't sure whether I had just memorized them. In any event, reading came easily to me and I was always quite good at it.

Why is Art Education So Boring?
I was talking to a musician friend the other day about our respective childhood art educations. It really struck me how the things we learned as young students have turned out to be pretty much at odds with the overall nature of art as we practice it now. As a kid, I remember spending a lot of time learning technical skills and principles like reading music, arpeggios, cross-hatching, color wheels; and then perfecting music pieces* and diligently completing art assignments. No class time or guidance was granted to the process of originating pieces that were personally meaningful to us and sprung from our own minds. That was a shadowy activity that wasn’t really acknowledged and sometimes even ridiculed by teachers.

Sometimes, even the professional background does not matter if the applicant is American or British.

Yoga acts as the binding tool of body and mind. It helps your body to communicate with your mind. It enables a bridge amongst the two that, otherwise do not find a common ground or space to contact. The power of Yoga is incredible. The journey is liberating and the destination is enlightening. It's shocking how light movements clubbed with mediation and breathing techniques can have such wonders on our bodies and mind.It is even advised by psychologists and doctors to practice basic yoga poses. Yoga is free but its benefits stand countless. It helps to calm your mind and unclog the trapped thoughts. It filters all your negative thoughts imparting optimism to you. Not only psychological, but it has various physical benefits as well.

WHY I TEACH-Part 4: Cracked Walls Don’t Scare Me
The next morning, as I walked down the still dark, but no longer garbage-filled hallway, to my classroom, I smiled at the progress I had made. When I flicked on the light, I gasped. An empty room stared back at me. Everything gone. Tables, computers, chairs, all gone. I steadied myself against the wall.
