Gray Divorce
Gray marriages are defined differently by different people, but generally persons over fifty who remarry may be considered gray marriages. Others don’t consider a marriage to be gray until a least one of the spouses is sixty or older. Here are my topmost concerns for gray marriages marriages for people over fifty. A gray divorce refers to the phenomenon of couples over the age of 50 getting divorced. This trend has become increasingly common in recent years, often attributed to longer life expectancies, changing societal norms regarding marriage and divorce, and shifts in personal priorities as individuals age. It is a divorce by senior citizens.

Unfair laws
Let’s talk about child support. The child support system in Tennessee sucks. It is by no way fair to both parties. My grandson has two children. One with someone he had a live in relationship with and then recently with someone who was trying to snare a husband and an income. He has paid support on the first one from day one after the breakup. The second one was questioned of really being his. But after the birth it was deemed his. He has nothing to do with child or momma. It was and still is a volitile situation. The state of Tennessee took him to court for child support. The amount they take from him each week does not leave him enough to pay all his legal obligations, child support to the first child and be able to have groceries. He was told the court does not care about that. So in my eyes the court is telling my grandson not to pay his legal obligations, just pay the child he has nothing to with and it’s momma every week. So I want someone to explain to me how this can be legal? How can she cut her working hours as soon as she starts getting child support, work from home and need full time daycare for that child but not her other two children??? And someone tell me how it takes $300,000 to raise this child from birth to 18 years old. I raised 3 children on a whole, whole lot less than that. Why does the amount of support vary among individuals? Shouldn’t there be a set amount in dollars that everyone pays? One man pays $500 a month and one pays $1000? How is that fair? You saying one child deserves more than the other? One amount across the board for every situation is the only fair way for all. These women are deciding to get pregnant and they need to decide to be financially responsible also. It needs to be 50/50. You want young men to step up and go fight for our country but then you want to leave them destitute if someone decides to get pregnant and have the child and collect child support. The government needs to step up and make the laws more equitable for these young men faced with child support obligations. People should support their children whether they see them or not but it should be equally supported by both parents financially and should be a mutual decision to have a child. Child support should be used wisely not frivolously like it is most of the time. Having a child should be a mutual decision between a man and woman, not something one decides on their own and claims, “Oh, it was an accident.” And these accidents are taking place way to often. If the government didn’t make it a free ride for these women, then things might change and all these accidents wouldn’t be happening as frequently. With this one particular female I’m talking about, she has had 3 accidents per her claims. In my opinion, you take it on yourself to get pregnant without discussing and or planning with a potential father, then you take it on yourself to be the sole parent and sole supporter. If you are adult enough to make the decision to sleep with someone without birth control, then you should be adult enough to be financially responsible for your actions of deciding and getting pregnant. And I felt the same way with my daughter. If she wanted to and got pregnant without the male knowing then she should support that child on her own. It is unfair and wrong for these females to decide to get pregnant and expect child support from a male that didn’t ask for, expect or was asked about a child. Our government is forcing males to live poor and have bad attitudes by forcing child support for a child that was neither wanted or expected. And it’s unfair for females to bring a child into the world without prior discussion with the potential father. Remember, it takes two to make a family but one to make a family that will never be.

The Sanctity of Marriage: A Story of Commitment and Faith...
Dear Readers, I have always wondered what it must have been like to witness a marriage that stood the test of time. Though I never saw my grandparents celebrate a golden anniversary, I have heard stories of marriages that lasted a lifetime of couples who held onto each other through every storm and sunshine life had thrown at them. It makes me wonder: Do people still honor marriage the way it was meant to be?
