Beach Vibrations
Some might say, that I have led many “riveting” expeditions, I have conquered many lands, stepped on every kind of earth, and vanquished foes…Voyager? Well, I prefer Beach Vibrations. It’s a little-known term my crew and I came up with. But I digress. What could that really mean? Lailoni was absolute perfection. From her mind, her spirit, her charm, her determination. Everything about her exceptional, absolute perfection.Right down to her emerald green eyes. Could I have done something different? Why did everyone hold that obligation to me? Hold on, there’s something I need to address….did you think I was Lailoni? Or maybe a past lover even? Well, I guess all that will be revealed, once we delve deeper into the ever-growing abyss I named Lailoni.

Sissy - Part 1
I could hear my Sissy screaming from the dimly lit parlor of our shotgun house. I wanted to get up out of my bed and peek between the cracks of my bedroom door to see what was going on to elicit such piercing screams. In between her hacking coughs I could hear Grandmaw Hanny demanding my Sissy to be quiet.

But a Dream: Chapter One
It always rained in Brighton. Winter, spring, summer, fall -- it rained. When I was five, it was time for me to start walking to school by myself. So on my birthday, I unwrapped a cherry red umbrella, and a pair of matching rain boots. I loved those boots. When I came home, I always stuck them in the tub and used my yellow pale to pour water on them, washing the mud and wet leaves away. On the rare days that it didn’t rain, I would put my boots on top of my toy chest, whispering to them before I left for school, “Tomorrow”, I’d say.

Who Are Zharitta & Qwikwito?
When my sisters and I were kids we had a couple of imaginary friends that we always played with. We made our hands take the form of a dinosaur talking, which was Zharitta, and our hand shaped like a toad that talked by making a mouth with our thumb and index finger, which was Qwikwito. When the baby of the family would play with Qwikiwto, she would squash him like a tomato, but one just simply had to blow air at Qwikwito to bring them back to their regular shape. She would also feed him as many marbles as they could eat, but one too many and Qwikwito would throw them up, which was always the funniest thing to witness and act out.

A Little Witch's Whim
There was a witch barely three feet tall, who wore her hair in frizzy braids and unruly locks. She pranced in pumpkin patches and weaved trampling feet through decaying corn fields. She terrorized her little brother with hexes and pinches. Mice and bats listened to her every command, fierce defenders and faithful retrievers. High in the sky and close to the ground they scurried and flew in search of her every whim. Whether it be eye of newt or milk for her count chocula cereal. She brewed her potions far below the sewer grates, dropping in weeds, pine cones, and hemlock mixing with stale rain water plumes of colored smoke rising to her nose and seeping down the street.

Chapter One
Hi, my name's Levi and no I don't know why my parents decided to call me that. I never even met my parents, they put me up for adoption days after being born only for my grandmother to find me and take me in. All I know is that I have a brother and an aunt on my mother's side and that is pretty much all they would tell me. Where am I now though... standing in line waiting to meet this other side of my family.

The Yellow Canary
One chilly spring day, Baby Cat was out playing along the creek. As she was playfully patting at the ripples in the water, Baby Cat suddenly lost her balance and toppled headfirst into the frigid stream. She emerged spluttering with her shiny brown coat matted to her quivering body. Baby Cat climbed out of the creek and trekked home, shivering.

The Birth of My M&M Twins
Walking into the ocean with the wind humming at my ears and the cool water brushing my legs, I begin swimming in the Atlantic at night. My husband is shaking me, calling my name, and even though he's faceless I know it is him. I'm confused as to why so I try to swim away, thinking he is playing a game but he calls me with more authority in his voice which startles me and I look back.
