The boundless love a parent has for their child is matched only by their capacity to embarrass them.
Do You Ever Recover From a Caesarean?
The truth? I think you never recover. I remember when I was growing up, I wondered why my mum always touched the lower part of her tummy, and it was always cold. I often asked, and she said, “it’s always been like that since having you.” I didn’t really think anything of it, but I think that was because I didn’t really understand.

Mother's Day Origin and Traditions
Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May in the United States every year. In 2023, the date is Sunday, May 14. However, that is not the date every year on the second Sunday in May. Mother's Day is also celebrated in many other countries.

An Angel in the Shape of My Mom
Mother's Day 2019. The woman who loves you unconditionally from birth, the one who puts her children before herself, and the one who you can always count on above everyone else. Just telling her your problems makes you feel better, because she always knows how to make it all go away. Even if you fight, you know that she's just looking out for your best interests. Where would I be without my mom?

Oh Man! The Dream Job!
I’ve been a stay at home father for almost three years. I also drive Uber on the weekends to pay for a couple of the household bills. It’s actually really nice to be able to interact with adults for a couple hours a week. Meet new people. It often turns into the same conversation though. That conversation usually ends up at either, “What do you do other than Uber?” or “Do you still cook?” That’s when I tell them I am a stay at home father. There are four typical responses. “Awww,” or “Oh, how nice, that must be incredibly rewarding,” or “That is a job in itself, a hard full time job,” and my favorite, “Oh man, the dream job! Hahaha.” These four responses almost always fall neatly into four categories, all of which are probably pretty obvious.

Doula the Daddy: Why Black Fathers Matter
I am a doula and, as such, my work focuses primarily on pregnant and postpartum mothers. However, I assist fathers to be more involved in the process of birth and caring for the newborn. Time and again, black fathers have communicated (verbally and nonverbally) their feelings of being less than fully supported and having their positions, during their partners’ pregnancy, labor, and caring for the baby, usurped.

Tips to Help Parents Get Out of the House with Children
Times with the family should be memories you and your family will have for a lifetime. But, depending on your lifestyle or plans, it might be easier to make excuses not to go. It has been said that kids steal your heart and your mind. You love them, but they might make it difficult to remember at times. Do not let disorganization and forgetfulness become reasons for skipping family time. Be prepared. Have go-tos ready and waiting to make every potential family outing as effortless as possible.

Kid’s Birthday Just 'Round the Corner? Hire Bouncy Castle ASAP!
If you are a parent, then you will know that organizing a party for kids is no joke. When it comes to entertaining five-year-olds, things can become quite challenging. Like grown-ups, you cannot expect kids to just turn up at the party, socialize peacefully and enjoy the meal. Neither do kids understand the concept of remaining calm, nor can any of these peaceful activities satiate their never-ending hunger for fun and sheer excitement.

6 Effects of Aerated Drinks on Kids' Teeth
As conscious parents, understanding the effects of your child's food habits is very important. As children, the bright colors, the attractive ads, and of course the freebie toys always attract them to the ‘not so healthy’ sections of the supermarket. While a treat once in a while may not necessarily be bad, consuming such food and drinks regularly will have a severe effect on their overall health.
