Jingle All the Way
Jingle All the Way. Poppy was Santa’s new first in command, she had come from the toy factory about three months prior and had been promoted to Santa’s first in command since his actual first in command Bruno was out fighting off the Flu. It was strange to Santa that Bruno came down sick right after Poppy had arrived, she was a new Elf in the factory and had set her sights high from day one. Usually new Elf’s went to the Reindeer stables for no less than three years to prove themselves, but in less than three months she had made her way all the way to the top, by passing Elves that had been working their entire lives in one department. Most were happy to just stay put in one department though. Not, Poppy, she had made it clear upon arriving that she didn’t want to stay put she had goals and had set her sights on Bruno’s job right away. Mrs. Claus was suspicious of Poppy because she didn’t hang out with the other Elves when on break and she didn’t like the usual Elf foods and drinks. Mrs. Claus was a very good judge of a person and so if she said to watch out for Poppy then Santa was going to watch out for her.

Frost and Flame
I woke that night with nightmares unlike I've ever had before. They were full of despair, malice, and destruction from things I'd never seen before. Magic created terror among the people, and all I could do was watch as it tore everything apart. But there was one thing that caught my eye. The one creating the destruction wasn't someone that I knew. It was a woman that I hadn't seen before.

The Secret City
Chapter 4 Bound for Panama The steady rhythm of the Dayrell’s engines lulled me to sleep for many hours. From time to time, I would drift from the arms of Orpheus to an almost waking state, only to reassure myself that I was far at sea, safe and quite distant from the deadly affair Prestwicke had embroiled me in. From somewhere on the ship, a crewman was singing. The lilting notes of “Shenandoah” played on a harmonica, seeming to urge me back to the depths of my rest.

Unfinished business in Old and New Mexico.
Unfinished business in Old and New Mexico. The ramblings of Drew. Chapter one; The message. As all good adventures begin we have our hero and their trusted sidekick. I was most definitely the sidekick following blindly the hero trusting he knew what he was doing. It all began shortly after I had returned from New York. My neighbor had gone above and beyond while I was gone. This guy did everything I asked him to do as well as hang that light fixture I had been putting off installing! Only reasonable thing to do was have him over for dinner. So here we were, having enjoyed steaks from the grill, sipping scotch on my back porch when he brought up a strange email he had received that afternoon from a company associate he had worked with.

The Wind's Breath
The cool, nighttime wind blew through my shaggy blonde hair. I stared out at the never-ending, dark sea from aboard Ruby’s huge pirate ship. It was no longer safe within the Great Sea and we were attempting to find an island to relocate to. Even after the demise of trade that had fallen apart within the scattered islands. Everyone was alone, and struggling. Most islands had different traits and skills that the inhabitants had used. My hometown was responsible for livestock for example. But with how scattered everyone was, we had decided to search for one large island to relocate everyone to. It would take years of work, but our scouting expedition was pure fate. I just had honestly wanted to find a new place for my grandmother and sister to rest. There was just too much trade fighting. This would even the playing field out.
