Adventure
The Bounty Hunter
The sun was high in the sky by the time the man finally died. Battered and bruised, the only thing keeping his broken body upright were the chains binding him to the pole. Red dripped down his fingertips, each droplet staining the ash at his feet.

Harvest Wars
My dreams are filled with the mouth-watering scents of bacon cooking, meaty and thick. Crisp-edged, fluffy waffles fresh off the iron, dripping with sweet, golden maple syrup. A bowl of cereal bathed in creamy, ice-cold milk. Eggs, sunny or scrambled, warm and delicious. And of course, plenty of hot toast slathered in butter, to sop up anything left on the plate.

A ray of Hope
It’s been so many hours, days, months, and even a few years since I saw it, but I know I need to keep looking for it…it’s the only thing that keeps hopeful and keeps me sane. I still can remember her face and the smell of her hair and the touch of her skin…but lately, these memories have started to fade away. Instead of them, all that seems to want to remain is that dreaded sense of doom as the wind whispers in my ear… "the end is near”.

Huntress
As the sword cuts down at Selena’s head, she was surprised by what thoughts wound through her mind. We’ve told legends of the four horsemen for thousands of years. Stories passed down generation to generation. The details might change but the shape is always there. Yet for all the stories, when they came, we were still unprepared. A global pandemic brought the world to a standstill. Quarantine became mandatory and production halted. Famine soon swept along in its wake, and it wasn’t long after that the fighting began. Leaders of the world got greedy, or desperate, it was hard to tell in the end. War raged. Weapons were unleashed upon the world. Destruction in Mans hands and raining down from the sky. The explosions causing skylines to change and the earth to be reshaped.

Worlds End...
The colorful lights flood the square tonight and the breeze is light like angels kisses on my skin. You can tell summer is on its way. People in every corner are happy and talking to each other like there’s not a care in the world. Why is it then that I feel so alone, even in a crowd. It’s almost like I’m empty, with no spirit left with nowhere to belong. I’ve been going through the motions doing the things I know I’m supposed to, but it seems to have lost all meaning.

The Locket Closes
07/21/2045 “This is all I have… I have nothing else. Just take it... Please.” The Tinker evaluates the man in front of his counter. A sandy shemagh concealing the man’s face, the Tinker’s brow furrows. The man’s voice sounded vaguely familiar, like a lost memory of a friend in another life. The man was old, that much the Tinker could deduct from the man’s posture and voice. His arm outstretched, the man held out a small heart shaped locket. The Tinker stared at it for a moment as revelation set in.
