Fable
The Cat Who Could Talk
It was a typical Wednesday morning in the small town of Millville when Mrs. Johnson's cat, Fluffy, started talking. At first, Mrs. Johnson thought she was just hearing things. She had always known that Fluffy was a particularly vocal cat, always meowing and purring for attention. But this was different. This time, Fluffy was saying actual words.

Growth is the Journey
My first memory is of strange, bulbous eyes inspecting me. The creature floated above the sand by moving its thin appendages and introduced itself as a fish. I was so small then, little more than a mound of pebbles, really, and no one paid me any mind. I observed the desolate plain of the seafloor endlessly, receiving the rare but welcome visitor from time to time.

Cockiness and it's evocative nature
Hello, you may want to reset your password for this one. This story is not for prudes or the morally judgmental (I can be a bit of both sometimes). Our very naughty Charles of Unsplash is clearly none of the above. His use of the plant and measuring ruler stick thing(y), I found profoundly metaphorically hilarious.

Beyond the Rivalry
It was a hot and humid summer day, and the old courthouse was sweltering. Inside, the hall was filled with the sound of raised voices and heated argument. The air was thick with tension, as two rival governmental parties went head to head in a battle of words and wills.

Halley's Comet
Not too long ago I had the fortune to meet with a satyr named Fred. He was weird looking because he had goat hooves for feet and swirling ram horns coming out of his head. He was a funny guy because he told me the following story. I can’t say for sure if he made it up or not. I mean, Cupid was made up for Valentine’s Day so adults could feel like they’re in love again. He can’t be real, right?
