Lost Things
It all starts because there’s a certain Great White shark—small for its species and covered in thick, white scars—who has a disposition for mayhem. It bangs against the glass of the aquarium when visitors stop to ponder the aquarium life, or even as they pass. The shark seems to have an intuition about which guests have a more sensitive constitution, as it has a great track record of singling out which people will scream the loudest, which children will be so terrified that their parents will have a talk with the administrator about that “godawful beast.”

Wicked Delights
It’s strange how some things can seem so beautiful and gentle in one light, and yet so ugly and cruel in another. A forest might seem pleasant and inviting in the daytime with sunlight cascading through the breaches of the canopy to form amber shafts of heaven. Perhaps the trees would shake ever so slightly in the wind, rattling their arbor amusement at Mother Nature’s kind breath. In the night however that same forest might appear unsettling, what with the crescent moon peaking through the branches that now leered over those who would travel their lands in the hours of the unwaking.

the monkey's wedding
In a gust of wild wind, the gecko on my hand had transformed into my Sweetie, with her grey scales morphing into that teal tail, indigo coat and violet eyes, she shifted into her dragon's suit before me and swept us away in a static spark, disguised as a fly to the average human eye.
