What Changed Her Life?
Everyone in Kaliganj was getting ready for their morning chores as the sun's rays filtered through the tall trees that bordered the city. Even though it was just another day for everyone else, Kusum lay awake, staring at the tiled roof that was sure to give way to the rains that were due this year. She was not at all concerned about the roof. She had to worry about her future, which was very important to her. She had celebrated her 15th birthday exactly 262 days ago. Yesterday, she had stared at her reflection in the only mirror in the house because she was curious about her body.

That horrible night
In the morning, it was around 12 o'clock. Around the city, a few drizzles fell from the sky. The road was deserted, and silence reigned. This amateur was trying to figure out what was causing his inability to sleep. The pandemic has left an indelible imprint on him. Due to the lockdown, he was forced to use his finger a lot. Was he currently working on a novel? A metaphor was being used; Mobile was his sixth finger. Unbridled, he uses it over and over again Many things about himself he didn't know before have come to light in the past few months. He realized that his friends were worthless and that no one cared about him anymore. Suddenly, he had access to everything, and it was horrifying to him. He discovered that he had a completely introverted side that yearned to burst out and cry on anyone’s lap. He was shocked. Therefore, he was filled with hatred and resentment towards his loneliness, and he broke down in tears when he thought of it. Every second he was lost in thought, which made him a sloth and lazy person.

The Minotaur's Lament
Asterion stood in a clearing. In the place he assumed to be the middle of the great Labyrinth, though of course there was no way he could be sure. Daedalus had built the Labyrinth to be infinite— a shifting mass of walls and rooms which knew no end. Procedurally generated so that no so-called “sacrifice” ever found their way back to the beginning. Only further, and deeper in. Into this room.

Dark Sheep
He can hear her carrying on furiously beneath him, her curses floating up through the rickety boards upon which he kneels. Her words are muted up here in this dark, stuffy space, but they hit just as hard, sending a shiver up his spine in spite of the sweat dripping down his back.

Her Worst Fear
Maggie stood at the kitchen island and stared down at the meager harvest. The ever-present knot in her belly tightened. She did her best to ignore the worry and set to the task at hand. The rhythmic thud of her knife against the cutting board soothed her nerves as she chopped the carrots for canning.

The Sun Shines Bright
It's been 6 years, 5 months, and 22 days since the first signs of infection. We don't know where they came from exactly. All we know is that, one day, they were just...here. To think, I used to take the sunrise for granted everyday. Now, the sunrise is my savior. It's the only thing that stops the creatures. Even the sun, however, is only temporary. I've never been more scared of the dark as I have been since their arrival.
