The Demonic Traveler

The fifth story in the Mystical series

By sai CharanPublished about a year ago 3 min read

After the events in Vagur, Bharath and Charan were tirelessly driving, searching for their missing parents without any clear direction. One day, Bharath found an old phone of their father’s ringing—a surprising event since the phone hadn’t been used in years. On the other end was a man named Kumar, someone their parents had once helped to rid his house of an erratic ghost. Kumar called seeking their parents’ help, but Bharath and Charan decided to take the case themselves.0B9D75

Kumar, who worked as a supervisor for a small private airline, showed the brothers a disturbing recording from the black box of a recently crashed aircraft. Strange, ghostly sounds could be heard in the recording. He believed this was a case up their alley. Charan immediately identified the strange sounds as electromagnetic frequencies (EMF), which ghosts and demons emit strongly. They were convinced this was a haunting. Kumar explained that there were 90 people on board the plane, but only three survived. The brothers began their investigation by visiting the first survivor. The man was reluctant to share his story, calling it "crazy," but Charan and Bharath assured him they’d believe him. He described seeing another passenger with jet-black eyes ripping the aircraft door off mid-air. Bharath and Charan immediately identified this as demonic possession.

The brothers, posing as officers from the Country Transport Safety Board (CTSB), gained access to the warehouse where the aircraft debris was stored. Using their fake IDs and shiny suits, they began examining the wreckage. Charan found traces of sulfur, confirming demonic activity. While scanning the wreckage with their EMF detector, Charan played the golden record and uncovered a chilling demonic voice saying, “No survivors.” Confused by this—since three people had survived the crash—their investigation was interrupted by a call. The first survivor they had interviewed was dead. Alarmed, they realized the demon was targeting survivors.

The brothers raced to find the second survivor, only to discover he had driven his car into a ditch, which exploded on impact. Now determined to save the third survivor, Priya, they learned she was an air hostess and already aboard another flight. Realizing the demon would attempt to crash this plane and kill everyone on board, the brothers decided to board the plane themselves. Bharath, who was terrified of flying, hesitated. Charan teased him but eventually convinced him to board the plane at the last second. Disguised as passengers, they began scanning the cabin with their EMF detector.

Their search led them to a middle-aged man who appeared possessed. To confirm, they invoked the name of God, which made the man flinch—a telltale sign of demonic possession. The brothers devised a plan to perform an exorcism mid-flight. They approached Priya and convinced her to call the man over under a pretense. As soon as the man approached, the brothers launched their attack, shocking Priya and the surrounding passengers. Armed with salt and holy water, they forced the demon to reveal itself. It screamed in agony, trying to crash the plane in the process, causing panic among the passengers.

Amid the chaos, the demon taunted Charan, claiming to know the demon responsible for his girlfriend’s death. Before Charan could react, Bharath swiftly silenced the demon, warning him not to be distracted. They continued the exorcism, expelling the demon from the man’s body as black smoke. However, the demon immediately possessed the co-pilot, who emerged from the cockpit.

The brothers quickly subdued the co-pilot, dousing him with holy water and restraining him with seatbelts. Charan performed a swift and decisive exorcism, finally banishing the demon to the outer world. The plane stabilized, and the passengers, unaware of the supernatural events, remembered nothing except boarding and landing safely. Priya, however, remembered everything. She thanked the brothers for saving everyone and promised to keep their secret.41A576

As they hit the road with rock music blasting from the radio, Kumar called to thank the brothers. Bharath asked Kumar how he had gotten the old phone number. Kumar replied, “Your dad gave it to me.” Stunned, Bharath pressed further. “You talked to my dad?” “Not exactly,” Kumar clarified. “I called his cell, and his voicemail said to contact you.” Curious, Bharath called his father’s supposedly deactivated number. To his surprise, the voicemail was still active, stating: *"I’m unreachable, but in case of emergency, call my son Bharath. He can help."* The message included Bharath’s number, confirming that their parents were alive. Charan and Bharath exchanged a look, their resolve renewed. The search for their parents continued as they drove off into the endless road ahead, ready for whatever came next.
