The Golden record.
They came to our invite, they saw, they conquered.

Forty years ago, NASA launched two Voyager spacecraft into deep space. Onboard both were gold discs with music, greetings and sounds from Earth — a message to aliens.
The message was astronomer Carl Sagan's idea. Let's send a pocket history of us into space. If there's life out there, maybe they'll find it. There would be images, equations, solar system maps as well as sounds on a phonograph record - after all, this was the 1970s - a record made of gold.
The sounds on the record would be most of the human languages, but also animal noises like whale songs, chimpanzees, wild African animal sounds, birds.
Classic music, Beethoven or Vivaldi.
also rock 'n' roll by one of the geniuses and progenitors of rock 'n' roll, one of the inventors, Chuck Berry.
Chuck Berry's classic song "Johnny B. Goode" made it onto the record.
the recording features friendly greetings in numerous languages, such as one in the Amoy dialect of southern China, with this message:“Friends of space, how are you all? Have you eaten yet? Come visit us if you have time.“
Not everyone thought it was a good idea. Visiting Earth to eat actually worries critics of interstellar outreach. Advertising our location could be a recipe, quite literally, for disaster. You know, the idea of, like, don't tell them where we are 'cause they'll come and eat us for lunch.
The two Voyagers are now billions and billions of miles from Earth. Any time now, we could be getting a message back from space. “Hey, Earthlings, take me to Johnny B.Goode”.
so that’s the background and history of the golden record and the Voyager space mission. Since then, the Earth has been literally invaded by UFO sightings and alien visitation reports, all over the world. Is it a coincidence? I think not. Rule 61- there is no such thing as a coincidence.
The aliens have heard our greeting from the golden record, and like any normal intelligent being they have done their due diligence investigation. In fact it’s still on going, with visitations, abductions, cow mutilations, crop circles, and things like that we can’t explain. I’m sure they would have viewed all our movies about alien first contact, and noted that our response is to defend ourselves and fight off any aliens that do make contact. So I guess they are nervous about making contact. They probably think we are a paranoid, primitive species. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they pass earth they lock their doors of the space capsule. I would.
so they probably are not in a hurry to make contact. And when they do, they will probably start with a military style invasion to accomplish the visit. To defend themselves ( aggression is the best form of defense), and only then, after winning the peace, will they be peaceful, and teach us about themselves, and live in peace.
No way is that what will happen. They will come, attack us, overwhelm our defense of Earth, and proceed to eat us and extract all the minerals and resources they need, which was the reason they came to Earth. And they will destroy Earth to accomplish their goals. Why not, there are billions of earths in the universe, so they won’t worry about destroying one of them.
so maybe it was a naïve idea to send the Voyager capsule out inviting aliens to come to earth for lunch. But it’s too late now, the cat is out of the bag, now we have to prepare our defense of the planet before the aliens arrive and attack us. Maybe we are paranoid. Or just realistic.
But they are coming, hopefully they like rock and roll. And are vegan.

Haha fun. Love a good alien story, especially one grounded in real events. I also hope that human is not on their menu.
