The severity of their attachment trauma had plunged them all so very deeply into fear. The frequency of which was so great that humankind had lost all true understanding of love. The fear was so powerful it had eroded and decayed their health. And without health, they had become mortal.

Though fictional, it draws inspiration from real historical atrocities and the destruction of thriving Black communities in America. The language within the journal entries reflects the prejudices of the era in which the fictional narrator lived. Very deep… fear, love and health… all intertwined in humanity.
Well that was deeper than I expected. Took me by surprise, I enjoyed it very much
Oh that's a nice take on humanity. We are shaped by our environment to a certain extent. This story kind of made me think of the placebo affect, where we basically manifest things physically just because we believe them. Very thought provoking 50 words I must say 😂
This was soooo profound, poignant and thought provoking! Loved it!
I couldn't imagine a world where love ceased to exist. I love everything, from the smallest detail of the comfort of my bed to the endless open skies above my head. To not feel immense love and appreciation for such things would be a sad existence. Very evocative words, Kayleigh. They ring nothing but pure truth.
