fact or fiction
Is it science fact or science fiction? Futurism presents both sides to determine the truth.
A Goddess’ Guide to Love and Sex
"Iced or hot?" rolls off my tongue even though I've already bypassed the paper cup in favor of the plastic. Marker cap between my teeth, I write the customer's name and order on the cup before setting it back on the counter and pushing it towards my coworker to make. "I can help who's next."

Apocalyptic Blackout
Fires, hurricanes, hailstorms, mass destruction. This signaled the beginning of the apocalypse that had descended upon us. Thankfully I was prepared and had enough essentials packed up to where I could run and take off to a safe underground bunker community I had learned about. I was dodging all sorts of things on my way to the bunker. Zombies, combat fighters, law enforcement. I ducked, dodged, and weaved my way around until I made it safely to the bunker. When I got to the bunker, I was shown where my living quarters would be while I resided there. I unpacked and decided to go exploring around to see what I could find. I went walking around for a bit, and discovered that it was like an underground city of sorts. Almost like Atlantis, but not quite.

The Naturalist
A curious crow collected bills that had dropped from purses and wallets and pants pockets. These were like leaves to the crow. Woven with sticks and actual leaves and moss and other forest things, they made for the crow a nest on a favorable branch in a far-away tree.

Maxwell's Diary
We ran for our lives that night. My brother and I, at the ages of thirteen and fifteen, had accumulated some powerful enemies. It seemed as if they had nothing on their agendas but murdering us. And it was all for a black book that we found. Davari and I, orphans in a world that humanity has no idea how it came to be.

Full Moon Madness is real
IIf you have ever wondered if the lunar effect is real and if the full moon caused some people to act out, let me assure you that it is not an old wives tale. I realize there are those who may disagree because evidence is not conclusive. Various police departments throughout the United States have conducted studies on crime rates during the full moon and the results are conflicting. Some locals reported an uptic in criminal behavior while others did not. When it comes to full moon madness, there is medical evidence as well as personal testimonies that outway the naysayers and validates this lunar occurrence.

The Blank Miracle
Blushing pools of dust-filtered sun spilt upon the tiled floor as Evie locked the plexiglass door of the café. She cast her limpid gaze across the jumble of stools, deeming the space worthy of a sweeping. Brushing aside a blond curl that had escaped her scrunchie’s hold, she swerved her aproned hips around the counter to grab the cherry-red handle of the broom. While weaving herself between tables, her eyes snagged suddenly on a reflective patch of brown against the peplum wallpaper. Drawing closer, she scraped back the stool to wedge out a small leather briefcase.

Inherent
What you are about to read, you will not believe, but I can assure you that it’s absolutely true. I received a mysterious letter many years ago, and just like the one you received today, it instructed me to attend the office of Barker and Dean where you are now. They are the firm of solicitors who have dealt with our concerns for many years. They know of only three things; the money, the properties and the box.

The Girl that could be Anything
My name is Rose Johnson. I am an ordinary girl.. or so I think, that can change my form to any animal I wish. If it must have a name it would be called a shapeshifter, but I just don't know how i came to have these powers. I have had them for about as long as I can remember. I am 17 years old and I am about 5'5 in height and weight about 125 pounds. I have brown curly hair and pretty baby purple eyes.

The Life Unknown
Christopher was beginning to grow tired of his daily routine, and of the way that his life had unfolded up to this point. “Wake up, work, eat, sleep, repeat,” he thought to himself, “that’s all I ever do.” What Christopher truly enjoyed were his strolls through town, where he walked at a leisurely pace in the present. This is what Christopher did best. He would breathe the fresh air, smile at the sunshine, smell the roses, petunias, and other flowers that he passed. He’d wave at the trees and imagine their branches were waving back to him. He saw upside-down worlds through the reflections of the canals which columned the town like the spaces between paragraphs.

Could Alien Microbes Live Off Products of Radioactive Decay?
Microbes living beneath the seafloor feed largely on the products of radioactive decay, aided by sediment of the seafloor, a new study reveals. This finding radically changes how we look at life processes in one of the largest ecosystems on our planet. It could also alter our views of how life may have evolved on Mars or other alien worlds.

A Strong Dragon Seizes Humanity
I stepped outside of my apartment and looked at the bright and colorful sky. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn't dreaming or seeing things. It wasn't just me. Everyone in my neighborhood was staring at the stunning and beautiful night sky. It was a little past midnight, yet the sky was nearly as bright as day, filled with streams of various light that seemed to simply flow across the night sky. It was both a beautiful and frightening scene...a scene that I never imagined I would see in Hawaii. "I can't believe this is actually happening," said one of my neighbors.
