In 2013, a research team at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands created edible meat in a lab using bovine stem cells, a world first. The ‘in vitro (outside the body or in the lab) meat project’ is aimed at rethinking the way we produce meat without the need to raise and kill animals. This is a crucial first step in the creation of a sustainable method for meat production. The final project aim was to create edible meat in the form of a hamburger without the direct use of bovine tissue.

Lunch on ball day
Lunch hour at the farm was the same as in any corporate cafeteria except that here, the cheap bastards that run the place make us all pay for own lunches. Unless you were a hybrid (or a node); they eat for free as part of their benefits plan, I guess. Our cafeteria is on the fifth floor of the main building. From here, we have great views of downtown, and all of the lesser buildings on our campus.

Note on Previously Posted Food Article
I mentioned in my article about getting food for free that robots could handle nurturing and slaughtering animals. This led to comments from others and feelings from myself that something needs to change. I have done extensive research and was intending on presenting detailed information but chose instead to present a general, broad view of the topic. My opinion seems irrelevant on this topic except for my desire to change a few things.
