Alex The Inventor - Chapter 9 (Pt.1)
Chapter 9 (Part 1) - Strange Change...Lunchtime for Alex had been absolutely delicious, he smacked his lips and let out a satisfied, "Ah", after guzzling down the last drops of his mom's homemade orange juice. Oh it was heavenly to be home with his mom all day long again. This was the best long weekend he'd ever had. Alex felt great if perhaps slightly lightheaded from all the work he had done that morning. He finally sat back on his chair in the kitchen, full and content. "That was the best", he sighed. Hot, gooey grilled-cheese sandwiches - oh, heaven! Alex took another deep sniff of the delicious, pungent buttery smell which still lingered from the nearby oven. A crisp, fresh breeze blew in through the open kitchen window and slowly dispersed the heavy cheese aroma as Alex finally sat back up with a smile and a full stomach. Getting up from the table, he ambled the few steps to the back door and put on his boots as he prepared to go back out to his workshop. Opening the door, Alex found his mom sitting on one of the porch steps, sipping a cup of coffee and gazing out on the heavy concealment of their backyard thicket. Alex sat down beside her and belched happily. Then much to her surprise he quietly said, "Zur-Haw", or some such odd word.

Outrun Stories #35
“Rico, Rico, Rico,” he says, stood in front of me, clapping his hands slowly. “You’ve done so well! All these tasks we put out in front of you? Flip the bi-neural grid, nicely done in record time. Pull the quantum key from the Saudi’s, no problem. Swap out the 16 strings of the Fed’s network, done like a breeze, and still you’re here!”

Outrun Stories #34
“This is it then?” She turns to me with that smile, the cloudless, fiery orange sky behind her and that glow of blonde hair. What’s it been now since I first saw that smile? Five weeks? Five years? Who knows, we’ve been caught in a moment for so long now, the two of us, the road and the plan.

Stellar Cruise Part 3
As the years long journey continues, tensions start to rise as the passengers and crew suffer through boredom... The game had not been as easy to program as Jesivel thought it would be. It seemed that it was easier to kill zombies than it was to give them life, who knew? Her mother apparently, who actually did deal with code for a living.

Stellar Cruise Part 4
Kestra manages to make her message heard, the will of the bored zombies is begining to crumble... The past week Kestra had been under cabin arrest was the worst in history. She was so bored that she was about to rip her long furs out in frustration. The charge had been passenger harassment, which was fine, technically she had been harassing, well, everyone. But the sentence was unjustified, literally as soon as she was officially charged, she was sentenced. The captan was just after her to stop her religious crusade, just like every authority figure in the known galaxy.

Stellar Cruise Part 2
When there is nothing to do, people will find a way Rory shared a cabin with one of her best friends from college. They had shared a dorm for the better part of five years, and were now both on their way to new worlds, to make names for themselves in their respective fields. As recent grads, they had very little in the way of spare cash, so their cabin was the cheapest possible. It was barely big enough for the two racks and tie downs for their trunks. By far, the biggest problem, though, was that it lacked private facilities. But since they just got out of the dorm, and new each other so well, what was another 2 years of skirting the halls barely dressed before and after a shower. All in all, it was almost tolerable.

Stellar Cruise Part 1
Just another day on an interstellar cruise, we find some of the passengers getting to know each other... The darkness of space stretched infinitely in all directions. One could look out any viewport and see the same shimmering black velvet, broken only occasionally by brief flashes as a celestial body was passed. Though there were many similarities between the seaside and the starscape, it was mostly a contrast.

Stellar Cruise Part 5
When things finally come to a head, will the passengers and crew be ready... The Zala’s senior staff met every ship’s morning in the main conference room behind the bridge. The room was dominated by an oblong table that kind of resembled a fat plantain. The senior most of the staff sat around it while their aids and junior lieutenants stood behind them. Screens displayed ships status and viewports on either side showed the void of space in its ebony glory.
