Coffee: The Most Powerful Weapon of the Civil War
If you drink coffee, think about the last time you really needed a cup. Maybe it was while trying to cure grogginess the morning after a night of partying. Maybe it was halfway through a particularly exhausting shift at work. Maybe it was while frantically cramming the night before a test. Now imagine you are a soldier during the Civil War. Bullets are whizzing past your head. People next to you are screaming in agony after being shot. You frantically reload your burning hot musket and try to fire off as many shots as you can to avoid getting killed. Would you want a cup of coffee?

Bikini Bottom Was Actually a Nuclear Testing Site. Third place in (Un)Common Knowledge Challenge. Top Story - March 2021.
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Things are rarely as they seem. The innocent and silly SpongeBob SquarePants is no exception. First premiering in 1999 the show was wildly popular with children and adults alike. Created by a marine educator turned animator, Stephen Hillenburg, few people are aware of the sinister beginnings of Bikini Bottom, the home of SpongeBob and friends.

The World is in your words
The English language is a thief. Well maybe that is a little harsh. The English language shamelessly ‘borrows’ words, phrases and sayings from other languages with absolutely no intention of ever giving them back. It has been doing this from its first utterances, this may be because the Language itself evolved due to invasions, immigration and conquests of the British peoples.

A World Without Electronics
All electronics on planet Earth will stop working. This isn't a joke, nor is it science fiction. In the near future, there is a high probability that all electronics on Earth will stop functioning. I'm not trying to scare you but simply warning you about what the next global event will look like. No, I'm not talking about a giant meteor hitting Earth, nor am I discussing global nuclear warfare. The thing that will stop all electronics on Earth from working is a Coronal Mass Ejection hitting Earth directly.

The Signal
It was a sunny fall day in October 1923, an automobile chugs down a dirt road moving at a steady pace. At the same time a horse driven coach is headed towards the automobile from the right side. The automobile and the horse drawn coach collide causing a horrible accident at a corner intersection. At the intersection the horse is killed instantly, the car is damaged and it won’t crank, the carriage is turned over and people are injured, and stuff from the coach is scattered across the road. It took days to clean up after the accident. A witness to this accident was greatly grieved and very upset, he decided something had to be done. He pondered over the accident and why it happened and how this tragedy could not happen again.

An Observation of Human-Like Intellect in Insect Life
An Observation of Human-Like Intellect in Insect Life: The Psychology of Insect Brains The fascination with alien-like appearances of insects has led to my observing various insects in their natural environments since 1960. While entomological-based aspects of insects predominantly focus on insectile physiologies and their biochemical typologies, one area related to insect life that is deficient in the research of insect life is an inquiry into possible common attributes it has with the human life forms occupying the planet.

The Unicorn
The hills, rivers, and wild forests of Scotland have been filled with mythical lore for centuries. Stories of ghosts and vampires, spirits and sea monsters have remained an intrinsic part of Scottish culture to this day. While the superstitious fascination with witchcraft and the supernatural has largely diminished, one mythical creature remains as more than a story to the nation. The Unicorn has been Scotland's national animal since the 12th century.
