What to do when suspended from NewsBreak
Suspension from NewsBreak is not as traumatic as it seems When it comes to online writing platforms they each have their own rules and regulations which are constantly changing. Writers are human so some of us will inadvertently find ourselves being reprimanded. Others may purposely do what they know is a violation and hope to not be caught. When I first began writing for the NewsBreak contributor network I read that if you received two strikes for breaking any rules you would be suspended from the platform.

A carton of cigarettes standing in for a Christmas card may seem strange today, but in the not-too-distant past, it was a thing. When tobacco companies were maintaining the fiction that cigarettes were good for you, nobody thought twice about stuffing stockings with cartons of cancer sticks.

Earth Without Art is Just Eh
Earth without art is just eh. Although art is subjective, it is universal. Art can transcend borders and defy cultural differences and language barriers. Art forces us to face the worst of humanity while helping us celebrate the best. We live in the moment, past and future when we consume art. Art is indiscriminate. Without art, everything would be boring and everyone would be naked.

What’s Your Christmas Tree Personality?
When I first thought about how to identify personality types for Christmas trees, high school cliques and cliches came to mind. How fun would it be to find out if you were still a jock, Goth, nerd, or wallflower. Then my background as an academic coupled with recent professional developments kicked in. Was this topic DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) compatible? Categorizing people based on types of Christmas trees is laden with issues.

The U.K. love to hate and to see a member of the royal family, the pinnacle of absolute of Britishness, marry a biracial American woman...good God how dare he! Scandalous!

With each Supreme Court term comes landmark decisions, headlines about Justices’ remarks, and politicians’ reactions. Every once in a while there is a case that creates a significant legal precedent and has enough tawdry details to land in both the tabloids and in an FBI file. Keeton v. Hustler Magazine, Inc. argued in 1983 and decided in 1984 has this bombshell combination.
