Wired Productions And Take This Team Up To Tackle Mental Health In 'The Town of Light'
Mental Health is a tough topic. It's one that's not widely discussed, within or outside of the gaming industry. But that's slowly changing thanks to games like Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Alice: Madness Returns for schizophrenia, and Actual Sunlight. Joining the ever-growing library of games that focus on mental health is The Town of Light, a title that released last winter, fell under the radar for most but remains highly regarded by those who did play it.

With 'Scalebound' Canceled, Is Capcom's PlayStation 4 Exclusive 'Deep Down' Next?
For many of us who snagged an Xbox One for impending games and exclusives like #Scalebound, it was quite the shock when we found our most anticipated game had been canceled. This Platinum Games title had been a long time coming and wasn't just one we had hoped to see when the console launched, but also a game that drew attention due to its massive dragons and fast-paced co-op action. It was a game that wore the Platinum Games trademark all over it, including the anime-style character with his combat prowess, just as we had seen with Nier: Automata.

Opinion: Sorry Microsoft, The Xbox One X Is Already In Trouble
Are you a fan of meticulously crafted racing games? What about cartoon style retro titles where platforming is going to become your best friend? That's the bet that Microsoft is making with the recent delay of Crackdown 3, which was poised to be one of the Xbox One X's biggest hitters when the console releases this November. If you're already an existing Xbox One owner, or even debating becoming one, you already know the library of exclusive titles is somewhat lacking for the Xbox One.

'Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood' — Square Enix May Let You Catch Up, But There's A Catch
If you've ever played a #FinalFantasy game, you'll know they are ridiculous in size. Riddled with stories, the worlds are crafted with intricate details, and their design is unique. Translate that grandeur to an #MMO as gigantic as Final Fantasy XIV and you'd be right in thinking that enjoying the full experience is a huge sacrifice of a player's time.

QuakeCon 2017: Why Bethesda's 'Brink' Has Gone Free-to-Play
During QuakeCon 2017, while attention was shifted onto Bethesda's larger titles including Wolfenstien II: The New Colossus, The Evil Within II, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, and Quake Champions, something unexpected happened to one of the company's smaller titles. Brink somehow managed to come back to life as the publisher lowered its price to free without saying a word.

You know the cast, you know the play style you favor best, and mechanics are second nature. What if, however, that was quickly changed with a touch of VR? That's exactly what happened in Dallas, TX for QuakeCon 2017, when I got a chance to go hands-on with Skyrim VR.

'Destiny 2' Shader System Suffers Huge Backlash, Bungie Responds
So far there seems to be few problems with #Destiny2 since its launch on Wednesday. However, the community isn't exactly pleased with the new shader system that is currently in place. If you played Destiny, you are quite familiar with the fact you could collect a single shader, and those shaders were unlimited in how many uses it had, altering the entire appearance of your equipped armor pieces. However, that has also changed since the launch of Destiny 2, which saw shaders become consumables, and now forces players to continually re-earn those shaders (or y'know, force you to buy them with real money).

PlayStation Network Hacked?! Here's How To Prevent Such A Thing Happening To You
Did the title get your attention? Good, because it should have. A hacker group has claimed responsibility for the PlayStation Network outage. The disruption lasted from 2–3 hours for some, a lot longer for others. A large number of network users also said their accounts had been hacked as a result, which seems like it wasn't just a distributed denial-of-service, but worse — an actual cyberattack.
