Impressions of Day Z
The zombie genre was originally conceived as a vehicle for the exploration of human nature. We are meant to ask ourselves, against the backdrop of hordes of the living dead, who are the real monsters? Is it the humans? Is it the zombies? Well as it turns out, at least in the case of Day Z, it's sheer damn boredom. More deadly than any glitchy zombie I came across were the long series of empty houses, the hours of playing on a full server without seeing a single human being, and more painted on doors than you can shake your uselessly ineffective baseball bat at.

Shadow of War's Spotty Marketing
Shadow of Mordor, released in 2014 by Warner Bros. Studios, and developed by Monolith Games, was a bit of a shock for me. I had heard about it months in advance, but it seemed far too ambitious. My expectations were nothing short of it completely burning and crashing. And... well, it didn't. It exceeded my admittedly low expectations by quite the margin, and I was thoroughly impressed with it.

Bethesda's 'Creation Club' A.K.A Paid Mods 2.0
So E3 2017 brought around a lot of surprises, some good, and a lot of it bad. One of these not-so-great surprises came in the form of Bethesda's odd presentation that tried to take us on a whimsical tour around the company like Disney, but ended up coming across more like that tunnel scene from Willy Wonka.

If you're lucky, you'll run into a great group of players and make friends with them as you journey through community content. However, if you're unlucky like myself (and many others), you'll find that playing online is a very unpleasant experience.... And here's why:

Top PS4 Survival Games
Survival games all hinge on the thrill of being alive in the face of potential doom, and that's why there are so many horror survival games out there. Everyone always wonders, from time to time, what they would do in the event of a cataclysm — or if they would be able to survive a zombie outbreak.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm Review
Version Reviewed: PS4 Like many fans of the original Life is Strange, I was apprehensive when I heard about this prequel, developed by Deck Nine games as opposed to DontNod who developed the original. I was even more apprehensive when I heard that fantastic voice actor Ashly Burch wouldn't be returning to voice Chloe Price, this game's main character.
