Nostalgia is a strange, strange thing. The internet, as well, is a very strange thing. When you add these two together, some interesting things start to pop up. Hello again everyone, I’m Josh, and today, we’re going surfing! Yes, today we are surfing something I like to call the Waves of Popularity. These waves are formed by the internet, in which a game gets popular, loses steam, and then in a few years comes back due to immense nostalgia. So grab your surfboards and let’s dive in!

Emboldened By The Flame of Ambition! (Non-Spoiler Review)
I know! The Elden Ring release hype has died down, so making a review for this game is a bit late, but I go at my own pace. Elden Ring is the latest Soulsborne game by FromSoftware to grace (see what I did there?) consoles and PCs everywhere, and it has become quite popular since its release in late February! I'll be honest with you, knowing that Elden Ring was a souls-type game made me not want to get it at all because I have never liked that subgenre. But I decided to give the game a chance after seeing a bunch of TikToks and Youtube videos of people showing off some really interesting gameplay. I mean seriously, people were having their character do sick dodges, crazy backflip moves, and other things that really caught my attention.

The 5 Most Annoying Sidekicks in Video Games
Sometimes I have to wonder if game designers create escort quests and useless AI partners to get revenge against the asshole company they work for. While I agree that the video game industry is rife with abusive practices that need to be taken seriously, but why are you taking it out on the gamers? There are pettier things that can be done, surely? Rat turds in the boss' coffee? Morning danishes filled with horse laxatives? (This is a joke. I do not condone that in any way. Danishes shouldn't be treated that way.)
